Chet, as I've said all along over the years, my work is a labor of love. I don't think most people have any idea the amount of time, energy, effort, passion and commitment it takes to work on a project like this. They also don't understand the emotional and personal toll as a result of this work. I suffer from compassion fatigue.

@@VoicesofHistory I can well imagine, and I can understand you don't mind the sacrifice... if only others would appreciate all that unseen effort, thought, and inspiration that's pulled together to make these videos. By 'Others' I'm talking about the Nancy's that have their unwelcomed advice they are quick to share. But for everyone of them, there are hundreds of me. Thank you, Larry for the work I understand that goes into each of these works. I know your Vets say the same.

Within the Korean War and the Vietnam War there are so many battles that don't get recognized as much. Thats another reason I like to watch&listen to your intrviews. That way I can research them and do my own History..thnks

I was 13 when I first became aware of Vietnam and those that fought over there. I remember praying for them and that has not changed in the 40+ years since. I hope that CWO Buss heard those prayers.

I could tell from the beginning that CWO Rob Buss was more at peace and cheerful than most veterans appearing on Voices of History. His testimony of how he came to faith in Jesus Christ explains this.

Very cool . Though I only remember flying in a Hook once . What I remember is , they were loud . I am thinking that ole Rob is being humble . I know that there were a few jobs I never wanted in RVN , and one of those was being in hook crew . A big NO TY to being a huge , hovering target over some FSB in the middle of bum . I felt the same about guys riding up on some dozer or plow digging out a new FSB / LZ out in bum . During my TOD that encompasses his , I heard about a C.C. on a Hook who had gotten fired up at base camp in I "think " Phu Loi one night . I guess he was trained to fly the Hook as a crew chief ? The guys I knew who were scouts on Loaches were trained to fly their bird , JIC the pilot was unable . Anyway , somehow the drunken bet was that the CC could do a loop in his . He got it up and tried , and died . Stay strong Rob , fewer of us by the day .. doc lll Corp 25ID / others ..

06.00"They flew OH-6's..(stutter step)...a lot of them died"... (exhale), I laughed hard, clicked the interview off. No disrespect Rob. Sometimes I find it odd the things I laugh at. As soon as he said OH-6, a picture of a OH-6 re-flashed through my mind, I knew where that was going. I'm sure I'll finish the interview. Thank you Voices of History and CWO Rob Buss

I`ve always wanted to know more about Lam Son 719--every time I hear someone talk about it,I don`t know how anyone survived.....surprised no one`s made a movie or written books about that part of the war....will be donating soon, once I get the ok-lol,to you...GOD Bless you for all you`ve done.....One question:Have you heard of Richard Flaherty, the shortest/smallest man to fight in Viet Nam?He returned to Florida,I believe, and became homeless, living on the streets for many years until he was killed by a drunk-driver in a hit-and-run......such an amazing story.........Anyway,til next time, take care.....Steve M. from the coast of ME

@@VoicesofHistory It was happenstance that I found Mr. Flaherty(I think he retired as a Capt.)`s info--through an amateur documentary(I think it was called "The Giant Killer, the Shortest Soldier"--don`t quote me)...It just appeared in my KZread set of daily "algorithm" videos......anyway,I watched it and figured that his story had to get out to as many as possible.....This could EASILY be turned into an amazing doc./movie/book,etc. and hope you get a chance to at least skim through his story...........and,yes,I`ll be donating soon, when I can.......Thanx for all you`ve done..........Steve
