Am I crazy to go back to my secret mountain spot where I'm sure i hiked thru a clan 5 years ago? They didnt't hurt me. It's a 3 day hike just to get there. No one has ever been to this valley, at least no record of it. BC coast mountains.

@aflashofbigfoot Well I don't have a whole lot to say at this point, but thinking back to the experience it totally fits with what I have simce learned about them. A shaking bush nearby but when I looked, there was nothing there. Then hiking through some really bad smell, but no bears in the valley. Interesting trail network. At the time, they weren't on my radar and I had no idea what was going on. My plan is to head back in early August.

This looks great guys. I've heard them a couple times. Calling across valleys a few times over 2 hunting seasons, and laughing and clowning around one specific time. Didn't want it to be them, but it's more delusional to think it was some other approved animal.

@@teekandy that's pretty sh*tty. No one will ever tell me that what I saw, what my cousin saw, what my uncle saw, at 40ft away doesn't exist. Of anything paranormal, I thought that Bigfoot was the most ridiculous and far-fetched of all. I thought people who believed in Bigfoot were at best wishful thinkers or at worst just plain ol' crackpots. Until I didn't. As impossible as it is to believe, they are here. In fact, if I hadn't been with two other people that morning, I would still be trying to kid myself into believing that I didn't see what I saw, in a desperate attempt to make the world go back to being logical, to when mythical things were the stuff of pure fiction. My Anthropological background, my profession, and my belief system does not allow for things like this to be extant. But the reality is this is no myth, this is no legend, it is reality. It makes no sense to me, I can't comprehend it, but make no mistake, they exist. What are they? I don't know, and the fact is it doesn't really matter. Knowing that they are in fact extant is too much information for me to process as it is. And if this "legend" exists, what else is out there that we aren't told about. There is not even a minute chance that the government or the forest service, or both, does not know about these things, whatever they may be. They know. I know now, for a fact, that at least two officials in the upper echelons of the forest service in the area where I had my encounter know. I don't anticipate for a second than anything I've said will convince someone such as yourself. Nothing but a sighting would have convinced me. Laugh all you want. Those of us who have had our paradigms irreversibly shattered, those of us who KNOW, laugh at people like you. We have seen them, you have not, so which of us is better equipped to speak on their existence? In fact, we feel sorry for you, and for the fact that you're walking around in oblivious ignorance, a bunch of bumbling fools. I do believe that only select people are given the gift of this knowledge, people who are capable of handling it, both intellectually and emotionally. If you've not had an experience yet, then perhaps there's a reason. Having a sighting most definitely threw me for an emotional loop, a spiritual loop, a professional loop, but I can handle it. And I would absolutely rather be in my shoes, than in yours. Because I have been privileged to KNOW something that you don't. So go take your ignorant ridicule and troll somewhere else. Absolutely feel free to reply, to spout off with some nonsensical, arrogant, ignorant remark, but just so you know, my reply notifications are off, as I have no desire to go back and forth with someone such as yourself. May you continue to live in ignorant bliss, ignorant being the operative word there. Take care now. 😂

Meet Bob Gimlin in person, or even just listen to him relate his experience, and you know that they exist. And Ron, Ron has never changed his story from the 70s, and what would be the benefit in lying? To sell books? Ron was and is a very wealthy man, and it has nothing to do with bigfoot. Your BS meter is in fine working order. You're correct, they do exist. I thought Bigfoot was a silly myth, the silliest myth in fact, until we had our sighting. Mind blown. My professional background is in anthropology/biology, and I can assure you that what I saw at 40 ft distance, on two legs, unobscured, was NOT a bear. Even the smallest child knows what a bear looks like. Nor was it any other known animal. Nor the shared hallucination of three separate people. Nor was it a hoax, or a suit. We were 6 miles into the wilderness, and I know a biological specimen when I see one, and at less than 15 yds, no less. I still can't believe it. It's the first thing I think about when I wake up, and what I'm thinking of as I fall asleep every night. It's all I think about. I don't know if I'll ever get over the shock. Anyway, it's nice to know that people who haven't had their own encounter can have strong belief. And you are correct. They are 110% real, and they are out there.

A cult leader like Steve Isdahl is a person of tremendous charisma who makes followers feel loved and accepted. It's often suggested that cult leaders use brainwashing tactics to attract and keep followers. In many instances, cult members deeply identify with and admire their leader. In this cult of personality, Steve solidifies and legitimizes his authority through media manipulation and propaganda that causes followers to believe that he is the only one who can achieve the stated mission. However, followers’ ongoing belief and devotion to a personality cult isn’t sustained by its leader and mission alone. It’s also membership in the group and loyalty to the other group members that maintain their loyalty. Many cult leaders like Steve also share antisocial characteristics and tendencies that make up the diagnostic definition of antisocial personality disorder (Goldberg, n.d). Some of these characteristics include a predisposition for dominance and aggression. In cult settings, critical thinking is often frowned upon, while absolute faith is rewarded.
