It's really nice to believe that Ray LaMontagne wrote that song for Sawyer. He actually wrote the song well before he even got a recording contract. I know, as I have the recording of that and other songs. For some reason this didn't get recorded on his last and subsequent albums. One of my favorite tunes of his from early on. I am deliriously happy he gave it to Sawyer however since he did an outstanding job of it.

Upstate NY is full of musical talent. sadly our opportunities to even play bars and local venues are slim and none. there is no music "scene" here. for him to win is HUGE for us, maybe JUST maybe a few place will have some open mic nights or something now....

I really like Sawyer now. During his time on the show, I really wanted another singer to beat him. But then during the Finals, I felt that he was giving his best effort regardless of his front-runner status and truly deserved to win. What a great person!

Must be contagious cause mine does too and I just had to unstick a 2 ft length of green electric tape from it.

He's gorgeous tbh.

He only lives like thirty minutes from me, but thats really what new york (upstate) is farms XD

If Sawyer does not become a star then the powers that be behind the voice, should end the shows run, like, right now. He is the real deal both as a singer and as a human being.

Well stated. Totally agree. Sadly in this "Pied Piper" world we live in, something is deemed the real deal, people follow, mostly without questioning. Luckily for us, Sawyer was well received. Therefore, he has a chance to be relevant, like you said, if he chooses. I do hope he goes for it as again, he is very special.
