Jacob used to cut up like this on idol and America could not deal. Glad he stayed true to his style.

Folk stressing over the enunciation but he’s intentionally ignoring that for the sake of vocal performance and acrobatics. I THOROUGHLY enjoyed it. Y’all can go look up the lyrics 😂

I enjoyed seeing how animated Elton John was into watching him perform. And the way he was interacting with the audience while he was singing was amazing to see.

His voice was so fun .He made Elton so proud and happy.

Like Elton,, Jacob sings ‘Benny and the Jets in a hip, funky, rocking R&B style’. Elton also threw in hints of (burlesque) ragtime. But Jacob throws in a dash ragtime (heavier than Elton on the burlesque) & gospel. Elton is amazing. Jacob did a great tribute to that greatness.

Brilliant performance…..and I loved how light on his feet he was dancing through the entire song. He took a much admired icon’s song and he didn’t change it, but made it his own.

I love seeing the pianists reaction to him singing
