Don't know how I managed to miss this one. I usually watch every reaction to this. I love Makoy Portado on guitar, and KZ's vocals are unbelievably good. She always sings with so much heart. This performance can make me cry if I'm truly focused. Right after this performance, Hua Chenyu turned to Jessie J and said this was the best so far. She asked him if he meant that night, and he said, "no. Whole show."

Forgetting about vocal range and all of that, this young lady pours so much emotion along with other elements of how she uses her voice is just remarkable!!

Thank you. Very ethereal... what with an "angel" singing in the midst of clouds and lights! Full of emotion. To think that they changed her song choice (a Beatles song) to this in about 6 hours before her stage performance! She did rearranged the song with help from the guitARIST AS ALWAYS WITH HER! Amazing! She's a different person, it seems, with every song she sang here in the Singer 2018. A great artist.

So sad that some filipino singers like her cant even have a chance to perform like this in their own country.. she deserves to be known by western agencies ..she will definitely be at the U.S market if she will be handled well

ever imagine being in a Chinese drama/movie scene where the protagonist fainted or temporarily died and get transported to somewhere like a limbo or one of those high plateaus with all the fog and mist flowing all around then you hear this song out of nowhere...it's sad and haunting yet it's freakin' beautiful.

The show is really about creativity, versatility and showmanship. When you have to impress the audience each and every week for 13 weeks, you can't just be doing the same thing every week and given the rules, only 2 songs of your own, the rest have to be covers and re-arranged, the show has become a contest about creativity, versatility and showmanship. I have converted over 100 songs from the 7 yrs of the show to mp3 and put them on a flashdrive and play in my car, its awesome. Along with the National Anthem series, you should also consider once a week having a kids day.

I love KZ!! In the episode after coming in second to KZ's Rolling in the Deep, Jessie J sang Purple Rain!! She went all out!!! IMHO, these are the best two performances of the entire show!!! Great reaction, Thank you!!!

Besides her version of "Royals" on this show, and maybe even more emotional is "The Hurts You Never Knew". It's in Chinese, so you have to look for the one that says English translation. Also, not from this show, and on a jazzier side is her duet with Jaya of "Feeling Good".

Andy check out her farewell song after she was eliminated from the show "See You Again" (From last Fast and Furious movie with late Paul Walker). Its AWSOME...!!!! Also check her rendition of: Lorde's "Royals" (for which she was eliminated) its Epic! But taste is subjective. KZ is one of my favorites she sings with her heart and do incredible arrangements, Hua Chenyu (whom she developed a great friendship during her staying in the show ) commented that he admired her and feel her mutual way of doing art. They're both great!!

KZ is so amazing, how do you go from Rolling in the Deep to this. To me she stole 3 songs from the original artists on this show, by that I means she now owns Rolling in the Deep, Say Something and she also owned the song Royals, no other version exists anymore. So from the Singer, Royals is a must see, kind of in the Rolling in the Deep mode while See You Again is back to an emotion song. After that and just when you think you have seen it all, you need to see Close to You.

You're right : between "Rolling in the deep" and "Say something" it's the big gap. In fact, KZ brilliantly compensates for her vocal handicap (following her surgery for polipes) by a gigantic versality and creativity. She's short in size but really big in heart and talent.
