Born and raised in the heart central Utah as a non-Mormon, the only thing Wade thought made him different then was his attraction to other males. After accepting the restored gospel at age sixteen, he had to make the choice of whether to continue in his new faith or give in to the temptation of his sexuality. Through subsequent choices and experiences as a young man, he discovered that the promise of an eternity of joy in the presence of God was worth more to him than anything else. Wade's desire for knowledge and learning, his striving for daily improvement, and his love for serving others propels him towards his goals in education, family, friendship, and ultimately, enduring all his trials to the very end.
