For how long Tony Anselmo has been doing Donald’s voice for he’s still fairly young. He is only 61 years old and has been the official voice actor since 1985 and was training under Clarence Nash before that in 1981. For anyone that can produce words through an air pocket takes a lot of talent and practice.

@@RETURNMOV171 Yep. That is true. Frank Welker was around that age when he stared voicing Fred on Scooby-Doo. He’s only 2.5 years away from breaking June Foray’s record of voicing a single cartoon character (Rocky the Flying Squirrel from 1959-2014). At Tony Anselmo’s pace he could do the same since he is in very good shape. For how young started at, he’s younger than many of the veteran cartoon voice actors including Bill Farmer, Rob Paulsen, Corey Burton, Tress MacNeille, Jim Cummings and Frank Welker.

I can agree. But there's something absolutely hilarious about the incomprehensibility of it. Hell I'd even argue that's what made Donald so great was because he was hard to understand.

Doing Donald's voice takes real talent! And that's really neat that one actor did it for fifty years! The other actor is good too. Somehow I can understand what Donald Duck says most of the time.

(Spoilers) There's this one episode finishing Season 1 of DuckTales 2017, Donald tries to give them a speach And NO ONE UNDERSTOOD HIM and they all simply replied with *"WHAT?"* It was super funny (Edit: I realized they played the clip from the show in this video lol)

So only 3 people have ever been able to do that voice officially. Nice

Completely useless fact: Tony Anselmo and I have the same birthday. It really is awesome how Donald's actors have really pulled through, even on smaller projects, games, spin-offs, etc

I don’t care who I choose. Both Nash and Anselmo are great as Donald Duck. So yeah, I’ll leave it to that. They’re both a tie for me. I love how Anselmo got to work with Mel Blanc on Who Framed Roger Rabbit. That must’ve been an honor for him to work with him before he passed a year later. I love the piano duel between Donald Duck and Daffy Duck.

I liked watching the special "A Day in the Life of Donald Duck" and laughed so hard. It was so funny seeing Donald argue with Clarence and basically himself

Tony is my favorite, mostly because I grew up with him voicing Donald. When Roadster Racers came on, as soon as that duck opened his mouth, I knew it wasn't the real one. Daniel's Donald voice is just a sad bootleg of that duck's voice. In fact, when Funhouse came on at one point and I heard Tony's voice from Donald's beak, I literally rewound my tv and I was like, "OMG! HE'S BACK!" 😂🤣😂

Yep he sure did. Judging by Tony Anselmo’s good health and only being 61 there’s a chance he may do the character even longer than Clarence Nash did it for. He’s already at 35+ years doing the character and there’s no signs of him stopping. I think Daniel Ross came in due to Tony Anselmo being busy doing the voice in other projects like the Ducktales reboot, Kingdom Hearts III and Legend of the Three Caballeros.

The voice is so hard to do that only three people have ever voiced the character. I think Tony could potentially go even longer than Clarence Nash did. The 50 year special was pretty much when the torch was passed so he’s at 38 years.

I think one film worth mentioning is "Who Framed Roger Rabbit." Which utilizes both archived recordings of Clarence Nash and new dialogue of Tony Anselmo. Although it has yet to be confirmed, there's a clear difference in the audio quality between Donald's lines.

Crazy to think in 87 years he has only had 3 voice actors (excludes Don Cheadle’s normal voice) and 2 official voice actors. Goes to show us how much talent it takes to produce that Duck voice through an air pocket and turn it into words.

@@jacknash8 Interesting cause Clarence Nash was well known for buccal speech. It’s sometimes known as Donald Duck speech. I guess Tony Anselmo’s technique is a little different. I feel like it has to be through pushing air through your cheek cause you’re not using any vocal chords.

It's really cool how you can hear Tony Anselmo gradually making Donald's voice his own. It may be the kind of voice that's hard to diversify, but it's noticeable how he settled into it over the years and is doing Clarence Nash justice while still bringing his own portrayal of the character to the table. :D Also, that transition from Tony Anselmo to Don Cheadle was impeccable.

TV Announcer: We now return to Donald Duck (Tony Anselmo) in “DuckTales”! (Peter angrily shoots the TV) (BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!) Chris: Why do you hate that show so much? Peter: Because it's preventing Tony Anselmo from ALSO voicing Donald in “Mickey and the Roadster Racers”.

For some reason, I find Donald’s voice to be the most audible in Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

Side Note , Tony Studied with MR Nash for four and a half Years to learn how to do the Duck Voice .

Man I love Clarence Nash's voice and Tony Anselmo's too because they too funny.

I couldn't believe that Donald Duck, one of the greatest Disney characters of all time, kept on getting his nephews, Huey, Dewey and Louie into trouble for nothing! Especially when it comes to making mischief.

Clarence Nash, nicknamed Ducky, and Tony Anselmo, are my favorites.

Could you do a video on either the three caballeros or Oswald the lucky rabbit? They are my favorite Disney characters and I love your videos going over timelines of Disney characters.

Both voice actors are amazing, and suit Donald, but me and my nostalgic ass perfers the original. Mainly becuase we had the short ( Im pretty sure it was a Chip n' Dale short) at 5:09 (along with many other CnD shorts all on one dvd) and its the very short that shot off my love for ducks, animation and drawing so.... yeah Thats fun

When donald said, “hey, HEY! Cut it out!” & “Doggone stubborn little...” That was Clarence Nash. When donald said, “ this is hot stuff!” , “wow!” And his little sinister chuckle at the end of the dueling pianos scene, that was all tony anselmo. Most people can’t really tell the difference because of how great a job tony does, but there ya go.

Note. Frank Welker has been voicing Fred in Scooby-Doo since 1969. That's 55 years as of the time of this writing.

Nash is the best one imo, mostly because it was my childhood, not because I was around the 70s, but bc my mom had bought me a CD with lots of classics from him
