    Jonathan Foote A choir of Angels; Soothes a cluttered mind, stirs a once still soul, humbles a brazen brow, bringing the hardest of hearts crashing down to their knees. A stone has cast aside its impregnable exterior and flourished into full bloom, now naked and vulnerable. Breathtaking, sentient and introspective - a chord that surely resonates within every living being.

    As a traditional choir singer I never was into these pop-like glissando's, but with this perfection and performance - there is nothing better! I could listen to this for the rest of my life

  • @jb9652

    @jb9652

    Жыл бұрын

    Top secret tip (which I'm thinking you may already have discovered): Glissandi are *necessary* for perfect intonation. I've known church choirs that are against them because they see them as "pop" and want to distance themselves from pop, but then inevitably fail to sing in tune. (Similarly, I've known choirs refuse to use a metronome or feel the beat, and then inevitably sing out of time). The glissandi can be small in both pitch change and duration, but they must be there. All this applies to the violin too. All just my opinion, of course! 🙂
