Sister Maria Monika of the Wound of the Heart of Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd serves the Archdiocese of Edmonton at Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Catholic Church in Maskwacis. Sister Monika grew up in Bytom, Poland. She trained as a physiotherapist and teacher before she entered the Congregation of Sisters of Merciful Jesus in 2009. She made her final vows in 2017, the same year she moved to Canada.
