Oxford Supresser really does the job for me. I love it and although it's not cheap at all, it's worth every penny! It works great on clearing your low end and stops it from rumbling. You just got yourself a new subscriber :) Really clear and professional tutorial!

Holy cow Fab, that was the single best de-esser tutorial I've ever heard. As I listened, I was marvelling at your depth of knowledge and how finely attuned your ears are for detecting sonic differences. C'est magnifique.

Very well done. I am glad you admitted that one de-esser cannot do all jobs. It varies by project and vocalist. Now I feel I can open any de-esser plugin and at least know how to make it do something to see if it will work for my mix. Excellent.

@videoeditors That plugin rocks. Paul Frindle is a genius. I have not tried it for de-essing. I'm sure it should provide some good results if you map a mellow tone onto a harsh ssss. Worth a try. I will when I can. Fab

Thank you for the video! very informative! I am using the surpressor, loving it. I was once using it on a male vocal, trying to find the relevant frequency, then the red line showed up at around 1250 Hz, so what should I do in this situation? Second question if I may ask, if after the process, the esses are not annoying the listeners and are not distracting any more. Is that mission complete? When do you stop and how do you tell a good job is done? Thank you again.

how does the eiosis sound in conjunction with the oxford? the oxford sounded best to my ears by the way. plus i really liked the options of the compression, its like a transient designer or envelope like compression. Im thinking of getting the oxford to slap a few on a master buss.

i'm not sure how he does it, but i would use one of your out's on your soundcard or I/O device and go into the the 902, then take the out from the 902 and go into one of your inputs. Then route the channel you want to use to go that route instead of the through the main out...hard to explain, but i hope you get it?
