Personally, I love her design. It reminds me of the manga Nana and I would be able to recognize her in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for her voice. This may be the first demo, but she's a voice that I will likely easily forget, let alone not recognize in a choir of Vocaloids. I also don't really hear the realism in her voice everyone is going on about? She is an interesting concept on her name and design, I'll give Internet Co. that, but her voice type is a dime a dozen sadly.

Till this day she is still my fave I just love her 🩷 🩷 🩷 I wish she had a synth v voice bank 😭🥺😤

I don't get what people mean when they say she sounds like Gumi?? I don't hear it to be honest. I really love her design(s) and I loOOOOVE her voice and tone!!! I can't wait to see more about her!

Yeah, that's right, but the problem here is when people don't give arguments or say things like that, they go just "She sounds like X vocaloid!! I hate her!! And everybody can hear they are the same!" when maybe it's a moment of the song, or just it's a similiar tone... my god, sometimes I have heard people saying that without listening more than ten seconds! And that isn't fair, I think Whatever, your point is right. And just thinking about her pretty design going all "moe" and "kawaii"... nothing bad about that, but every time I see a "moe/anime" Mew I cry. I don't even know if I'm writing this well xD (sorry, English isn't my mothertongue)

yeah, people don't give them a chance. I could see why people would try making an argument, because of similar recording styles and similar programming styles since Gumi and Chika are both Internet Co-loids, but People honestly don't give them a chance and just listen to the voice once or not even once and make a hasty judgment. And about her design, I think that it strays from the "kawaii moe" anime chick style, and gets more in touch with.. more mature fashion? It really reminded me of Kuranosuke from Kuragehime (which is a really great anime btw!) Which is why I think I loved the design so much! I really think Chika has a lot of potential, but people are going to forget about her or hate on her because of quick judgments Dx

I don't hear anything that screams Gumi in Chika's voice. I can probably hear how similar the recording styles are for the Internet loids are, but other than that nothing much. I actually feel like Chika was a nice pleasant surprise with her design. It's like Kokone all over again with nice voice and design but too many people making judgments. I think people need to hear them at least for the length of the demo song.

To the person who said that she sounds like Mayu: You're totally right! I wish someone would make a duet with those two once Chika is released.

I absolutely love her super sweet voice. It can definitely be used for many genres, but staying on the sweet popsy side would be best for her just by her first demo. But you know what? For the first time in such a long time, I love the Vocaloid for her design. It's so natural looking, and the hair is extremely cute. Her clothing choice is just classy, as if she's a city girl. She doesn't have wires hooked up to her, she doesn't have that android look, she doesn't have an extremely unnatural hair color, her hair isn't ridiculously long, and this list could go on and on. Plus, this is one of the only demos I've heard in a long time that I'd just listen to over and over.

unfortunately there is some legitimacy to the gumi comparisons. While Chika and Gumi's voices are not identical, they are similar, as they are the same voice type. THIS DOES NOT MEAN IDENTICAL. We still need more demos, but some of the user on Vocaloid Wiki think Internet Co is at fault for making them sound similar.

I don't understand comparing her to Gumi. She doesn't sound like Gumi in my opinion. I don't hear any similarity. Her voice is very distinctive, unique and beautiful.

I love how she doesn't seem to have the generic VOCALOID voice (y'know, the super high pitched bullshit.) Although what makes me sad is that she really does sound like GUMI, a lot. Sure not the same, but they sound really alike. I get that people are just going to say, "Oh they sound nothing alike! Just trying to start a voice war or whatever!" Let's face it, they do sound similar. I swear I would have said that it was GUMI singing if it weren't stated that Chika was the voicebank. But after listening to her voice for a while, you can tell them apart, though it'll probably be hard for people to tell the difference at first so they'll immediately call Chika just a GUMI clone. Hopefully Chika will get songs that'll make her sound different and apart from GUMI. Sadly, Chika will probably get called a "GUMI voice clone" for a while, it seems. I honestly love her design/art style(?). I also really do hope she does well and isn't forgotten over time.

People keeping saying that, but I don’t see it? Like... Gumi has a bit more of a childish voice, while Chika naturally sounds more mature. Gumi can sound a lot older, but even then, Chika’s voice is much deeper while Gumi’s is “crisper”.

I know of kokone's voice range but almost all of it is already covered by GUMI. She just sounds like softer and accented version of GUMI. Chika covers almost the same range as kokone, except for her lower notes (which no-one ever uses anyway).

I love her design, and her voice is honestly really clear and smooth. I hate comparing voice banks, I really do. But she honestly sounds exactly the same as every female Internet Co. vocaloid. I saw her design and thought "I hope she has a mature voice, somewhat like Sweet Ann!" and I'm a little disappointed. She doesn't have a bad voicebank, and yes it's a bit different to Gumi. But it's just so generic. I honestly adore her unusual artwork design however ^^

I bet you haven't even heard Kokone's amazing vocal range (widest range of any released vocaloid). Dude she's able to sing in falsetto and still sound smooth. Research please, she's not as boring as you make her sound.

Her voice sounds very realistic and her design is very nice but it´s nothing unique. I love Gumi´s voice and I know it very well and if i wouldn´t now the titel of this clip I would think it is Gumi. Sorry Internet Co.

No, she's not, she's inspired by the voice base of this Vocaloid, Ito Chiaki from AAA. The clothes Chika are wearing are also similar to Chiaki's, and the dress is exact to Chiaki's costume during AAA 5th Anniversary Live.

I really hate to sound like a weeaboo who constantly comments on how some vocaloids sound like each other but......this sounds almost exactly like Gumi, I would believe it if this were an update to one of her voicebanks, it's really underwhelming really :/
