She practiced hundreds of times and lay down for a few days after the performance. It's like a stage that burned everything. Singing live with a soft body for 7 minutes and 16 seconds is touching and amazing.

what i like the most about her is..she not just singing..she’s storytelling..even in different language but u can feel the emotion..

Every time I watch her 'Everyone' reaction clip, I hope for the reactors, other watchers to see the subtitle version after this because this is like 'MESSAGE, MESSAGE, MESSAGE', though her ability can connects us and the song. Good thing is, So-hyang has gospel-background and put some her area in English in the middle. And that part represents some part of the message. Never tired to watch her sing.

I love at the end when Asia throws her hands up in pure joy! Sohyang does that to you.

She's a devout Christian and regularly sings in churches. She's an amazing person off the stage

Great reaction, guys!! You know when it all gets quiet she sings the chorus by herself. These are the words she was singing: "I am your sibling forever. I am your friend. I am your song forever. I am your joy." (This is basically what the song has been all about... She sang how "she" would be there to comfort "you" when "you" are lonely and in anguish) AND THEN when she talks to the audience (briefly), she says, "When I feel all alone, who would be my comfort..? It's EVERYONE of you."

The first time I heard sohyang sing was bridge over troubled water. I cried like a schoolgirl. No singer has ever been able to reach my emotions like she does time and time again. Everytime I revisit her songs I still get emotional knowing full well what’s coming

I watched a review of Sohyang by a couple of young fellows today and one of them said "Sohyang is so good it _hurts!"_ I laughed out loud because it is so true! I could talk all day and still not describe in an adequate way how good her singing is! Sohyang apparently has told the people at her church that she does not want them to come up to her after church and tell her what a great singer she is. It makes her have to fight a real battle with vanity because everyone knows she is the best on the world scene right now, and I think she knows it, too. For a Christian to know they are the very best there is at something becomes a burden in that way because arrogance is so spiritually dangerous. Anyway, thanks for this analysis you two and I'm looking forward to more of your reviews of Sohyang. 😉💘👌

Asia, the look on your face starting with the English part until the end said it all: "I can't believe what I'm hearing. How does an Asian have such soul? How can anyone sing this well! How does someone so small have such stamina and power?" Disbelief is my favorite type reaction to Sohyang's "Everyone" because I think it's the most honest, the most appropriate, for a performance of such epic greatness. Also as happened to you, initial disbelief often turns into joy/laughter because of how utterly ridiculously beyond good she is. Thanks for such an honest reaction.

I'm wishing So Hyang good health and another decade or two of singing career. She has good work to do here on Earth.

You know she was self taught for most of her career and took a few lessons from Michael Jackson's voice coach in the later years. There are also copies of a good portion of her songs on VIMEO with English subtitles. Great reaction. Love it almost as much as listening to SoHyang.

By the way she has turned down recording contracts I think the last one was from Sony because she doesn’t care about stardom, she just wants to make people happy. She beat cancer a few years ago also, hugs guys.

She's the real deal. Sohyang transcends, like only the best artists can.

Sohyang is primarily a CCM/gospel singer. She sings other genres as well, but this is her roots. I really love it when she sings in both Korean and English. If you like gospel music check out her new version of Amazing Grace. Put 'Sohyang Amazing Grace' into KZread and it should be the first hit.

She may look Korean but she has the soul of a black preacher. Anyway, as far as I know, she only performed this song only once. Never before, and never again since. Not only it's 7 minutes of a non-stop vocal marathon, but the emotions needed to sing it properly may be just too much for her. We're lucky to have this one on tape. Otherwise, it could have been a lost treasure.

We are deeply lucky to have this. The stamina it must have taken is frightening to think about. It's exhausting just to watch. I was a little offended by the "soul of a black preacher" remark. When I was younger, I'm 69 now, I heard lots of BS about how only blacks could sing the blues (tell Janis Joplin that) or had soul. Seriously??? Haven't we gotten past that?
