Vocal Processing in FL Studio

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Today I'm sharing how we set up for vocal editing and processing in FL Studio 12.
There are limitless tips, tricks, techniques and methods for vocal processing and it's easy to get lost and end up in a mess.
This simple method/system will help you stay organised and on top of your vocal processing, helping you achieve a great vocal sound.
I break the system down step by step explaining the channels, routing, side chaining , effects and signal flow. It's a longer video than usual, but I feel the extra time is important so it's not a rush :)
I start by showing how to set up the mixer for optimal signal flow and using the "Fruity Send" vst to send audio to your reverbs and delays. I then show some of the effects you could try and how we use them.
NOTE - In the video I use the faders to control the volume of the effects, in a mix it would be better to control the volume from the fruity send vst for more control. I simply used the faders to save a lot of time and clicking in the video :)

In The Mix the prefader is a powerful tool for clarity btw raw sound and fx... are there any other ways to get the pre fader done in fl studio aside this method of applying that fx one by one?

Preferably, unless you have UAD-2 processing, you want to use your greedy plugins on Master/Master Busses, at least as much as possible.😊

Mike, this routing tends to be overwhelming to unseasoned producers. I noticed a huge difference in clarity when I set my mixer up using these guidelines. Full disclosure, I actually yelled aloud in relief. I finally felt like I could use this DAW to finish a professional album! Thanks Bro.

This video has literaly given me the confidence to work on my first ever personal mixtape. I've followed it through to the end while actually processing my own sample vocals. The results are better than I expected and this is my first attempt. I've been paying my producer tons of money to record my tracks over they years, but now that I have a nice Behringer microphone, interface, Presonus monitor speakers and headsets, and In The Mix to guide me, why not do it myself at home? It won't be perfect at first, but consistent repetition and learning from mistakes is all it will take me to take it up a notch.

Another great tutorial by you... Thank you One question... I didn't understand why you had to use Fruity send in this particular situation... You could have just sent the audio to the respective reverb/ delays... There was no need to use FL send... Or was it that you were trying to show the utility of using that plugin... Didn't understand that.. Regularly look forward to seeing more of your videos
