Vocal Effects Pedal Board | The ZOOM V6

Музыка

Vocal Effects Pedal Board. In this video, I'm going to take you through the ZOOM V6 Vocal Processor. This is a powerful multi effects pedalboard made specifically for vocalists and can be used live or in the studio. Every type of vocal effect can be found here, including pitch correction, vocoding, harmonization, as well as the standards like delay and reverb. It includes a shotgun mic for the best results, so it really is an all inclusive package. There's also a looper which I'll cover in a separate video. Enjoy.

Excellent demo! Just wanted to know that me as a backing vocalist if I put the 2nd harmony with my voice will this processor follow the pitch with my vocal harmony? Or if it doesn't work then if I sing in the main voice with harmony on so can it cut the main voice and sound only the harmonies?

Problem I always see with these vocal pedals is that you can't use the number one thing they would normally be used for. Effects. You have to choose between a good selection of effects, but can't build patches with multiple effects. And in this case it does have a reverb/delay effect, but no control of the parameters of each. Delay time, feedback, intensity, etc. And reverb type, mix, etc.

So is it possible to record using Presonus Studio with both the V6 AND the Audiobox plugged in to USB on the computer and record both live? Like say, Rythm guitar and Bass plugged into AudioBox input channels and mic plugged to the V6 while Presonus Studio DAW software is open or better to connect through an actual mixer. Forgive me, I'm still stuck back in the old Tascam 8 track cassette recorder/mixer days. I'm old, brother...lol

  • @ThePedalGuy

@@michaelkreal7817 It wouldn't be possible to do them simultaneously as a DAW will generally only communicate with a single audio IO. However, what you could do is switch over to the V6 when you're ready to record vocals. Meaning you would unplug/turnoff the Audiobox and just use the V6 as our monitoring and recording interface. I think I made a good choice by not waiting for Zoom. TC Helicon Play series is Voice Live technology but as Presets with desired effect On or Off. The factory presets are song based.... awesome. Can download more. $300 range

You definitely did make a good choice by not waiting. Compared to TC Helicon vocal dedicated gear, this Zoom V6 unit sounds like a cheap toy. The VoiceLive series were too far ahead of its time. It has set the bar at such a high level that even more than a decade later we still can't see a product really matching it in its performance, quality and features.

TC stuff is, in my opinion, far superior. Less gimmicky, more set up for real world use (less parameter range but processing is used for quality). Roland VT 4 is also pretty good but lacks the warmth of TC products. In the price range no one gets close to TC Helicon for vocals. The problem with VL3 is (again my opinion) you can get better from a guitar chain by using TC electronic individual pedals. I like using replaceable/upgradable blocks (a vocal block and a guitar block and a rhythm block) rather than all in one vocal / guitar units. Good luck

I like the ease of how everything can be adjusted without going into a window and scrolling here and there. But the harmonies are horrible, at least in this demonstration.

I have a lot of Zoom guitar pedals that I like, but I gotta say... my TC Helicon Play Acoustic blows the doors off this thing.

What is happening to the quality of the sound? Wow! It sounds really bad! Is that the mic? The v6? OBS processing? If that’s the sound then I’ll 100% stick to my TC-Helicon Voicelive Play Acoustic.

I actually just shot a new video to address some of the sound quality issues in this video it came down to a couple of mistakes on my part but I put a nice condenser mic through the V6 and it sounds really great

Toys like this are the reason the music industry sucks so much ,first you had guitar hero and that made people think they can play guitar ,and with this toy people who can't sing think there rock star but in real life they have zero talent...music is a forgotten art computers destroy everything that is great

Actually as a singer I found this toy super useful. The effects on it are amazing when singing live, even my band mates noticed a difference. Some of the voices are dope too, especially unison, and octave up. They really help beef up a chorus. This pedal is easy to over do and make sound bad. But if you play around a bit and know what sound you want, this thing hasn’t disappointed me yet
