I always cry when I hear this song. This is a gem by Coke Studio. Everything about this song (and I mean everything) is a masterpiece.

Actually this is a mixture of two types of song..Qwali and Thumri ..the very first part is Thumri and the clapping is a part of qwali in qwali songs clapping is a part of that chorus thing. It was one of the last recordings of Aamir Zaki, the solo guitarist who passed away at 49. Everyone looks up towards the heaven just before he starts.

Javed Bashir is Akbar Ali's older brother and mentor. Amir Zaki was a legendary Pakistani guitarist (probably the best we had..RIP)

You both guys have a tremendous understanding of Pakistani and Indian classical music! Every time you picked up the best notes for your appreciation! Unfortunately, in Pakistan, only KZread is the only platform where the music lovers can enjoy their favorite music, because the commercialism has swallowed great musical programs on the TV in Pakistan. On the other hand, Indian TV promotes its music in a much better way and has a great reach for music lovers.
