Zendaya pays tribute to the Broadway musical Finding Neverland with help from Breaking Bed's Bryan Cranston and Dancing With the Starz's Maksim Chmerkovskiy in the music video for her cover of “Neverland.” The single appears on the compilation Finding Neverland: The Album' In 2011, Zendaya released her debut independent single, "Swag It Out". Zendaya has said that she has always loved music but she didn’t want to deal with the music industry. She released an album maybe 10 years ago? So she focuses more on her acting now because it allows her more anonymity. She still does some random musical projects now & then.

@@LizzayMartini no, I meant anonymity & am aware of the difference between that and autonomy. Zendaya explained it as though people get into a different kind of a fanatic level of obsession with music artists vs actors. Yes, both professions are still in the public eye but she feels that she can hold on to a certain amount of anonymity with her current career pathway.

This song isnt related to her HBO show Euphoria. She made this years ago for a Peter Pan broadway musical I think is called Finding Neverland

Hey Audrey! Love that you're slowly obsessing over Zendaya 😂 Just know that this is not Euphoria at all, buuuut she does have a few songs in that show that you can check out! Also, she has a song called Replay that is like a core memory for us Genzs 😂 but it's great, and she dances there as well!

I like that we get to see your Zendaya obsession grow and grow. Zendaya is so insanely talented at like everything she does, and also seems like such a genuine down to earth human too.

This is a cover of a song from the Broadway show Finding Neverland. The show itself has a pretty complicated and messy history but it does have some beautiful music. On Broadway, Matthew Morrison played the lead, JM Barrie, the author of Peter Pan but in the trial off broadway, Jeremy Jordan played him! Highly recommend searching out his version as it is a very different vibe than this pop cover.

Hi! I haven’t finished the video yet but just to clear up any confusion. This project was for the live show, Finding Neverland (done a handful of years before Euphoria; her most recent work), where she has several musical collaborations with the artist Labrinth such as: All For Us I’m Tired Elliott’s Song

Zendaya is from Oakland, Ca and this song is from Finding Neverland, it's a play. Hence the "Peter Pan" references to never growing up & the "hook". The tv show you keep referencing is Euphoria. Also, the gentleman she is dancing w/ in this video did the choreography and was her partner on DWTS. If you view the whole thing it shows a tad of the play.

Her main partner on DWTS was Val . Neverland was Max. The two dancers are cousins and DWTS alumni.

Just for your own entertainment, you may want to watch her when she was on Dancing With The Stars back in the day. She was just 17 or so.....came in 2nd! That's when I personally fell for her.

This song isn't from her show Euphoria.This is one of the songs featured on "Finding Neverland The Album" the musical companion to the Broadway production of Finding Neverland. This song was recorded before she was in Euphoria, The Greatest Showman, Spiderman, and Dune. Zendaya had a record deal (multiple in fact) and is a platinum selling artist. Zendaya is a triple threat..she's an actress, singer, and dancer as well as many other things. She released one full album and has other music. She was signed to Hollywood Records and then Republic Records bought out her contract so that she could be on their label. Republic Records has some of the biggest names (Ariana Grande, Drake, Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, etc). However, she ultimately wanted out of her record deal because she's not a fan of some of the things that come along with being in the music industry. She's also been dancing since she was really young and she was also on Dancing With The Stars. You should react to some of her other songs. React to her songs My Baby, All Of Us, Fireflies, Something New, Close Up, Only When You're Close, and Replay Acoustic.

I love this song. It reminds me of my Grandpa and when I was little. He knew I loved Peter Pan and whenever I was mad, upset, or sad and I couldn’t put into words why I had those feelings…he would tell me to go to Neverland in my head. To just close my eyes and think of Neverland. He knew it would calm me down. I’m a ballroom dancer and a few of those dancers I know. R.I.P. Serge Onik. He was an amazing human being. So kind and so much fun to be around. He was the kind of person who never held back his honesty when I asked him for his feedback on one of my performances and I loved that about him. He was a talented choreographer and easy to work with and he knew just how far he could challenge me. Most of all, he was a great friend. When I heard about his passing, it hit me really hard. To know that I wouldn’t see him, hear from him, or work with him again… it really bothered me. I cried a lot. Now, when I watch videos of him dancing or performances that I know he choreographed, I smile and remember every thing about him and the memories we shared.

In addition to watching Euphoria, you should also watch the finding neverland broadway musical. It has some of the most amazing vocal performances. Some notable songs are All That Matters, Neverland, When Your Feet Don’t Touch The Ground, Stronger, and Circus of your mind. Totally recommend it.

This has nothing to do with TV show Euphoria, came out long before & was featured in the musical Finding Neverland. There was a challenge thrown out to singers & songwriters for when the big anniversary for the Peter Pan movie was coming up (like 1.5 to 2 yrs before). They wanted new songs inspired by it. Zendaya's was 1 of a few great songs that came out in that time span with a Peter Pan theme. Lost Boy by Ruth B is another one.

So I believe that the show you were referring to is euphoria. This is from neverland. The broadway musical. But this was amazing and one of her greatest singing songs. She did actually sing a song from euphoria so you could look it up and review it if you want. I believe its their theme song. As for zendaya herself. She actually was hired by disney to be the main actor focusing on dancing on shake it off while her costar bella thorn was hired for her singing but then zendaya grew to fame from her first album singing replay and the rest was history as disney invested more on her singing and she went to get a solo show called k.c.
