Of course Jon Bon Jovi is still a legend and always be a legend but some of us fans are curious what is happening with his voice that's why this kind of vocal analysis is necessary.

Let me give you an example . Sebastian Bach is John Bon Jovi age & he still hits the notes dead on bc he takes care of his voice

Poor Jon, I ❤️ his voice from my under age, I pray and hope he keep healthy and safe ❤️

He had a severely atrophied vocal fold on one side due to a paralysis of the fold on that side. He had vocal fold medialization surgery in July of 2022 to address it.

Just for the record Jon Bon Jovi is worth well in excess of 400 million so i think its safe to say the reason he is still touring is not because he has no money!🙄 He tours because he clearly loves music and performing and they is still a huge demand from fans to hear him live

Hi, I heard that Jon Bon Jovi is a heavy smoker? I have noticed how he's frequently struggling for breath performing and that's a symptom off emphysema so not sure if that's come up or not? Just a thought..

... unfortunate but we all lose steps vocally as we age . Its just a natural fact .

He doesn’t do it for the money. He has plenty of money. He just loves music so much ! It is he’s life . He does need to stop smoking & drinking & exercise his voice & have a voice coach to keep him in tune . It would take time to get his voice back on track.

i heard it was covid, he lost his voice and it never came back all the way.

He needs to retire along with the band so as to not acquire more vocal damage. Please retire Jon, we will always know how great you guys were. Legendary. This is absolutely brutal to watch. Brutal. Watch footage from 2009 and then listen to this...the decline is dramatic and I think kind of began in 2011 and after. We don't know for sure but it could be also hearing and neurological issues and if so he needs to take care of himself. It's ok Jon!! You and your bandmates have already made your place in rock history. One of the most legendary "arena rock" bands to ever exist.

First: Would you please stop referring to JBJ and others as "elderly"? That's completely absurd and insulting. As you said, 60 is not what it was years ago. Yet, you keep using the term "elderly". It sounds ridiculous. Second: This man is worth a LOT of money. I've followed his career since '94. He's a smart business man. He has his life together. He's been wise with his business dealings. He tours because fans want it and he loves it. He comes from a blue collar, hard working background. He loves what he does. He loves music and loves to work. I don't think Jon has taken proper care of his voice over the years. It seems like he worked his butt off, wrote songs that are incredibly difficult to sing but, because he could do it, he did it. I think he may need surgery and a good vocal coach who can help him relearn how to sing - with proper techniques and good habits. Robert Plant has undergone surgery to remove nodules. Gwen Stefani in recent years began seeing a voice coach who taught her to use proper technique - she had to learn to sing in a completely new way. I saw Pat Benatar live a few yrs ago - sounds better now than she did on her recordings. Mariah has nodules and was told she shouldn't have surgery. She said sometimes her whistle register is stronger, sometimes her chest voice is stronger. She doesn't know the reason but that's the way it is with the nodules. I pray Jon gets help for this. He's a good man, an icon, and he should be able to continue touring. I've seen them in concert several times and they are OUTSTANDING live. Sorry, but I found this analysis to be useless, negative and depressing. Singers do not need to just quit due to age. I mean, all of the people we've been listening to for decades and still perform well - you didn't have much to say about that. Try Ken Tamplin.

Oh lady you’re so wrong. JBJ comes back touring because he needs money? Jesus. If you don’t know something doesn’t mean you need to make a comment about it. Also, before talking about someone’s voice it would really be nice to make at least a little research before you put such a video like this

I don’t care why he tours ,but with this voice people should ask ,who gave him permission?his voice is damaged,it doesn’t sound healthy at all? No doctor ,speech therapist would allow that ? The sound quality is not good

Even in his young days, his live was not so good compared with his amazing studio versions. And back then it was very rare case to have such a professional vocal training and even for the wildthing like rock bands...As a big fan of him, I hope his vocal recover and give us nice his living on a prayer sometimes.

I just think you are significantly uninformed. Why critique his vocal performance without doing some research first so you understand some level of detail about his condition, his surgery, and his process for recovery? And...no, he doesn't need to tour for the money. Once again, you are severely uninformed. Good grief. Just a terrible review and waste of my time.

It’s not just getting old. Look at Gillan, Jagger, Jones, McCartney, Daltrey….. Pushing 80 or in their 80s, and they all sing way better. Bon Jovi must, in some way or the other, be sick. Nobody looses their voice so dramaticly in their early 60s.

@@IHIKML yeah possibly but people age worse than others in area's. Axel Rose is the first that comes to mind possibly bob dylan but never really relied on his voice as much. In sports you have some players retire in their early 30's and some that go on to 40 plus. I think some people just stay healthier for longer.

If you take proper care of your voice and learn proper techniques this doesn't happen. This is the reason classically trained vocalists think rock/pop singers are destroying their voices. I love Jon. I want him to get to a good coach and find the root of the issue.

You are wrong about the legendary bands or singers touring at old ages for the money. Most of them are very wealthy and the only reason why they keep going is because it's their passion in life. That's why you see Bruce Springsteen, Rolling stones, Bon Jovi and many more on stage till today. They love what they do. That being said, Jon should make like unplugged concerts instead, more relax like their album "this left feels right", that kind of vibes is more suitable for his current voice and age..
