Another ENTHUSIASTIC reaction/analysis, to another MASTER CLASS performance from the 8th Wonder Of The World, So Hyang. She indicated this had been the most difficult song she ever performed, because she had to figure out where to take a breath. This event was in 2015, and I believe she only sang this song the one time. Another comment stated So Hyang didn't believe her health would permit her to sing the song again. I could be wrong, but I think So Hyang said that, because from 2016 - 2018, she suffered a minimum of eight bouts of pneumonia. However, in 2022, So Hyang continues to prove her vocal technique is ROCK SOLID. Don't know if it's possible, but she sounds better than ever.

SO Hyang... Ranked as one of the best "Lyric sopranos" in the world... I usually say if I want to be impressed I listen to great sopranos... If i want to be moved i listen to great Altos... But So Hyang is one of the few objections to that rule...:)

Sohyang said it was the hardest performance of her life. She impressed the audience with her incredible stamina and vocal technique in this seven-minute performance. She is such a beautiful person who thinks of her life's purpose as giving courage, hope, and comfort to countless suffering people around the world. I respect and love her true faith and attitude. Sohyang has a lot of great performances but IMO that is her best. She did say it was the most difficult song she ever song and it was song to perfection. IMO the best performance by any singer period. So many pleasant twist, Korean to English, amazing crescendos. Simply the best by the best.

The thing with Sohyang is not the notes that she can hit because there are people all over the world who can even hit higher, but, the quality and resonance of her notes, all her techniques, and her steel throat and an olympic gold medallist stamina. Absolutely amazing singer on the planet

One of the best EVER..this is likely my fav by her..it's just so hard to NOT see how brilliant she is in so many different aspects. Such a queen

The one and only Sohyang. This might be her all-time kill performance. But her own song Dream on DMC Festival is insane too. If you're searching for other top-class vocalist in Korea, maybe you'd like to check out Son Seung Yeon and Park Kiyoung? Son Seung Yeon (aka Sonnet) won the Voice Korea at young age (she's still young though) and is definitely one of the powerhouses. I love her rich tone. Please check out "Lost Love" or "Is anyone there" (maybe her best but her tone is different there than it's usual). And Park Kiyoung is actually a close friend to Sohyang! Her mix and range is insane, she's way headier than Sohyang but mix up to F6! She's a chameleon and incredibly versatile. Can sing every genre. Thats why its hard to recommend a stage ^^. Maybe "Spring Rain" and "Yeonan Pier"?. She's originally a rock singer but jazz, opera... no problem.
