Right people are so sensitive. We all know Selena isn’t the most consistent singer ever but we have to give her credit for her good moments and use that to educate people

Selena just needs a great vocal coach and some vocal lessons, especially to improve her belting and to find a technique that's suits her the best. And Olivia is still young, has just started her career and i feel like she's done really great by now. She only needs to keep training and perfectioning her voice.

Olivia can hit great high notes, Her voice is a powerful one in vocals. Selena can hit very nice low notes. Her voice is a powerful one in emotions. Both are queens.

People think that just because someone has a strong voice their better over someone with a soft voice like Selena. Selena and Olivia have different singing voices. Selena has a soft voice and a lower regimen. Olivia has a stronger voice but that doesn’t mean she’s better than Selena. I personally like Selena’s voice type better.

they are both very talented women, but i have to admit i prefer olivias music. her lyricism is incredible, her vocals are strong and she has great range, and her music isn't always the same feel over and over again, its always something different. not to mention her music comes straight from the heart, it feels so raw and emotional and i can most definitely hear the pain and anger in her voice. props to both women though

It is always nice to see a video that gives props to Selena for what she does well. It is so common to see people “hating” on Selena unfortunately. Both girls are talented singers, and I’m especially excited to see where Olivia goes!

The thing is both can create such a connection to their audience with the way they sing emotionally. That's more important I think

Selena was singing in concert and there was a lot of people around her, and that is way you can't hear her voice very good, while the other girl performing in a comfortable place with no many people around her, so you see the point! don't compare a queen to newbie!

Georgina did a great job analysing their techniques. You don't like Selena's voice? Don't listen to her music, simple as that. Having a more powerful voice does not mean you are a better singer. You really need to understand that voices are like any other musical instrument. There are some that sound deeper, others higher, others with a fuller sound, and others just lighter, but all of them are musical instruments. Having an opinion about sth do not mean you have to share it, much less if those comments are hurtful and about someone else. Respect comes from both sides.

@@XMilesX123 Did you know that all singers have to have vocal technique and breath control? I think what you're trying to say is that Selena does not have *good* vocal technique. But saying she has no vocal technique doesn't even make sense.

@@XMilesX123 “Cant sing” yet she ranked 14 points and a vocal coach even said she has good head voice and low notes…. . And she said Selena can sing, are you a vocal coach? No right?

I prefer selena's tone to almost any other singer it just feels special and angelic in way and fits perfectly with the music she make

At the end of the day it's her opinion and we should respect it even if we love an artist more than the other personally for the both selena and olivia are amazing artists and I enjoj both of their music

I adore Selena Gomez but to be honest Olivia Rodrigo is much better sorry! I know she has health issues. Olivia is really great Singer/Songwriter and Selena uses to much backing Vocals in performances. Like I said I love Selena and her Song's, her Voice but when it comes to live singing no. I fell sorry for Selena she's good Singer but her health issues and anxiety doesn't allow her to be confident and sing so good because you don't need to be strong Vocalist to be a great Singer. Simply she has problem with her confidence and I really hope she get trouht that. With Olivia first of all are major old and short videos let's be honest here she's a great Singer. Simply as that.

Olivia is a better singer but Selena is very good too

Lol. Selena is a nice person but when it comes to singing? Be fr right now. Even if we have olivia and selena do a face to face singing battle, Selena would lose right away.

Anyway, now that Olivia is getting relevant and her vocal ability compilations are being made by people..and it's only a matter of time but.. If you ever see a compilation pitting olivia against Sabrina carpenter, definitely, DO NOT react to it. Those girls have drama as you know and reacting to a vocal battle like that is just asking for dislikes and hate comments. Definitely stray clear of anything like that..never compare woman with drama.
