Rihanna is a Beast!! It’s not easy to manipulate your voice like she does with so much control. One of my favorite voices and tones and she has the most iconic records. She’s gorgeous and has so much confidence. This performance made me so proud and I actually teared up. So beautifully done‼️‼️💚

I love that you highlighted that some of the things including the rasp in her voice are not things that can be replicated. You should have also mentioned the bajan accent influencing some words.. I love that she's somewhat unorthodox

Awesome performance! Diamond is one of my favorite songs. Her last song is very good old fashion blues style, and that raspiness just added to the authenticity of the genre. I picture her in a dark seedy bar by the piano, wearing a floor length, spaghetti strap red dress, with some brown liquor in one hand singing about her heartache.

Rihanna said in an interview back then in 2012 that she smokes, to get her voice raspy

she entirely changed her vocal technique and placement since I saw her live years before this. You can ESPECIALLY hear how high it’s placed in the first verse to the first song. She used to sing everything how she sang ‘stay’ in the chorus.
