The dance in the black suit 1) was a suit Liam wore at some point 2) the dance was the dance the joker did in the movie, which was Liam favorite movie .... The house is where Liam cheated on Miley with 14 other women. The work out session was mocking liam's workout routine. The gold dress at the beginning was the same dress that Jennifer Lawrence wore at an award ceremony ... who was one the 14 which Liam cheated with ... Miley got permission from Bruno Mars to use the song, Liam dedicated this song to her when they got married. Also, this song was released on January 13th, Liam's birthday

I feel so horrible for her when they split everyone blamed her because she grew up the wild child lived for a while now with everyone thinking what she was the bad guy that she hurt such a big star not sure but I read he slept with almost 20 women while they were together which takes a lot of effort and yeah dropping it right on his birthday brutal but still a little classy

This song and video are so powerful for so many different reasons. 1. Liam dedicated When I Was Your Man to her when they were engaged 2. Released on Liam's birthday 3. Filmed in the penthouse he rented to cheat on her with 14 different women 4. One of those women was rumored to be Jennifer Lawrence, and the gold dress and hairstyle are what Jennifer wore on the red carpet with Liam 5. The suit she's dancing around in is the suit he wore when he told her to "behave" on the red carpet

I am loving the bi panic representation haha my reaction was exactly the same! It's the Jolene of our generation, Dolly must be insanely proud. It's an epic song, thus comes from a girl who usually gets passionate about music from Rage Against the Machine and Korn etc. So this song is so good it translates across many normal barriers. I also usually roll my eyes at " popular" ,using unless it's simply fantastic. This is. Miles has finally found her groove and it actually more closely fits her real personality than anything else she hasn't done before (her Rogan or other podcasts more clearly demonstrate she is not how the media portray her or her entertainment antics). So yeah, she smashed it. Also it actually doesn't make people hate Liqm, like the lyrics say, she forgave him. It's more an anthem of moving in (which is an ide to a real, deep live) but also gives him loads of publicity he really needs right now. So yeah, to the media, ironically classy. Like I said, more accurate to the real person.

don't know if its just me, but this song almost brings tears to my eyes... not sad tears but tears of healing,strength and empowerment. i've been in relationships, completely lost myself and even put the person before own needs. In the moment i felt hopeless, desperate etc and didn't think i would ever find my "happy self" again. But then I remembered I can buy MYSELF FLOWERS 🥀❤❤❤❤

My niece was born too early and had an under-developed trachea. She is now fine but has a lower, raspy voice. I've tried to tell her it's a good thing to not sound like everyone else, even her sisters, but when she was nine she told me, "I sound like a tuba in a choir of flutes!" 🤣 She sings in a group with her sisters and appreciates her unique voice more now.

The line about building a house just to watch it burn is in reference to her house burning a few years ago. Her voice was raspy before the fire, but it became more so after due to the smoke exposure. Most of the song is a direct response to Bruno Mars' "When I Was Your Man" which Liam once had dedicated to her.

Miley actually had vocal surgery in 2019 after she was diagnosed with Reinke's Edema…that is what made her voice go deeper around 2015-2019. After the surgery her voice remained in that lower register. Her 2020 album ‘Plastic Hearts’ featured much deeper, Rock N’ Roll influence. This new single ‘Flowers’ is the first time that I can tell she has found her balance. All that power in her mid-range is unbelievable. That is an ability that you don’t see in the most powerful of singers… After watching this, I’m confused lol…how long have u been giving vocal lessons? You didn’t seem to discuss any of the reasons her vocals work so well with the song. Like I said above, it’d be interesting to see any other famous artist try to sing that song at the same tempo…you would immediately notice how amazing she did with this piece. Also, ‘Flowers’ written lyrics mirror Bruno Mars’ ‘When I Was Your Man’ but the melody and composition is completely different. The two songs sound nothing alike. I would say it has a more Abba/Gloria Gaynor ‘I Will Survive’ influence…
