Dad born in Spain, mother Italian recognized his talents at around 10. His dad was a very strict controlling Manager but moved heaven and earth to get him into the industry at 12 yrs old. He is still going strong. Discography 30 Albums. Over 100 awards , including several Grammys, 713 +concerts, Sings in Spanish and Italian. Considered the best Latin American Singer of all time. Sings Pop, Rock, Bolero, Mariachi, balads. Takes his singing and fans very serious. Gets the best musicians in the world, best Mariachi band.Has suffered from Tinnitus but manages to go above and beyond to please fans. Has had the best vocal coaching. Has manage to sell out his concerts in large venues, stadiums without help of social media, tv, or not much promotion other than his well known musical gift. Sounds great in record but sounds even better in concert, he improvises in concerts. Many have become fans from listening to him on social media and recognizing his talents. Thank you. Correction: He never lived in Veracruz. The original lie that his dad made up was that he was born in Veracruz and moved to Mex city because he didn’t want the world to know that he was born in PR. Luis Rey (dad) was a Spanish singer whose career never really took off. He and his Italian wife were in PR for Luis Rey’s work when he was born. They later moved to Mex City still seeking to make it in the music business, but that would never happen. When Luis Miguel’s talent became obvious he took it upon himself to make of his son what he himself was never able to become. Just one more of the many lies that LM’s father created about or around his son. This man has dealt with so much through out his entire life and yet he is still No. 1. Enjoy the concert, I’ll be there myself

I have known Luis Miguel for many years now, he started singing as a child and has been successful since than. He had some rough times from 2010 - 2015 than he started to recover from personal and professional problems and now he is in the most successful tour ever, close to 200 shows in a year and a half. I have always loved Luis Miguel's music and always will, this man has the most beautiful discography and the best beautiful powerful voice. Ask M. Bublé or M. Carey about him, they will tell you.

If you really want to learn about who Luis Miguel really is. You should watch Luis Miguel the series on Netflix. It pretty much shows you some of the most important aspects of his life. He is truly a survivor. If you watch the first season. You'er going to be dumbfounded, the guy suffered so much and went through some extremely beautiful, but also darks episodes in his younger years. I once heard a psychiatrist describe LM as a survivor... He was a child star and has been singing for over 43 years! selling more than 100 million records, and he still remains a classic. LM s got staying power!

I just saw him in concert at Madison Square Garden in October. He is in the middle of a world tour that started in August of 2023 and will end in November of 2024. This concert just like the one I saw in 2000 was full of energy and entertainment. Perhaps the voice is not as strong as it was in 2000 but he goes from venue to venue , city to city and country to country and gives you everything he has. The dedication and commitment of everyone on the stage from Luis Miguel, his band and backup singers is on full display. Truly spectacular ! Luis Miguel is a one and only. No one comes close in my book.

So jealous, LM started his tour in Argentina 2023 as he gave it all in that country . I love LM but expect a much re controlled voice and performance by April 2024 in US when I watch him live. He is a professional so I know he will deliver . Looking forward to a great show.

Luis Miguel is meant to be heard but even more so live. He saves his energy for live performances

Agree, Christian Castro is another great Mexican Singer. Like Luis Miguel they had excellent vocal training. Some of his music, is Spanish balas, bolero, pop and even influences of metal. So unfortunate his voice has not aged as well as Luis Miguel, but my respects. I would have loved to have watched these two singers together but unfortunately a girl dated them both at the same time and a collaborator of Luis Miguel collaborated with Cristian Castro at same time leaving him feeling betrayed.Wish they would hatch this out for what would be a beautiful collaboration.

My favorite song from the one and only Luis Miguel❤, lovely to see how people enjoy it as much as I do, keep reacting to him🙌🏻... He says in his bio on Netflix that his talent was discovered by his parents when he accidentally sang for the children's choir in a church at the age of 8, his father helped him perfect his voice ever since. His series on Netflix is worth watching, as a fan you end up loving him and his incredible voice even more.

3:28 actually, Luis Miguel has his biographical series on Netflix, and believe me when I tell you that it is VERY good. It became a phenomenon in Mexico and we were all always waiting for the next season. Even if you didn't know Luis Miguel you would find it entertaining and sometimes disturbing 😶 And you know what?
