No she didn't miss her key... she had in that time very hard and serious problems in her life, so the crowd only demonstrated their love for her "on t'aime" (we love you) their cry for her. After this... should hear Lara singing "Je t'aime" next with the composer Igor Krutoy in the Kremnlin... at least after her so wonderful performance in Paris, we deserve to hear all the song "comme il faut"... (Before DQ, only Lara sang "Love of tired swans" and "Mademoiselle Hyde"... DQ is a huge fan of her.)

@sempre allegro nope..You're wrong...she had many relationships before her current marriage to Gabriel Di Giorgio who is 15 years younger than she is including a common-law husband Gerard Pullicino who is the father to their daughter. Many stories are out there but at this time, something traumatic was going on in her life and apparently, her pianist orchestrated this...somehow, I can't imagine how, for them to sing to her! Even changing the words to On T'aime which meant We Love you to her I love you.....really beautiful

@@mjcole12 Yes. I could go into the sources of my suspicions, not least, her waiting for it to start, but not worth it. Of course I may well be wrong.

This song "Je T'aime" (I love you) is Lara’s original song, and probably is her most famous and well-known song around the world (along with “Adagio”). This video is from Lara’s concert “Nue” in Paris in 2002. It really shows how much Lara’s fans love and support her. Here is a short story behind that performance: Lara had some serious problems in her professional and personal life at that time (2000-2002); she even had suicidal thoughts. Her fans new about that and they wanted to express their love and support to Lara on her concert in Paris. A group of Lara’s fans approached her pianist and musical director Pierre Grimard before the concert and agreed that they will begin to sing that song "Je T'aime" before Lara. When they sang for her they changed the words «Je t'aime" (I love you) to “On t’aime” which means “We love you”. The entire audience (more than 6000 people!) sang for her. Can you imagine this? Lately Lara said that during this moment she realized the beauty of life, and that it’s really worth living it.

The whole concert is online if you want to see it. It's called Nue, from 2002. The whole thing is awesome and a love fest with lots of great audience participation. Pas Sans Toi is another really beautiful moment. Both of these songs became odes to her fans, that's why they mean so much when they sing them back to her.

By far the best vocalist ever. The pure emotion just shredds the soul of anyone who listens her singing. Love the way the pianist and audience show her the support and love in this song.

I noticed that at many concerts in France people passionately sing along. If you have a French audience as a fan and they do that, you're settled for life in France as a singer.

This honestly makes me tear up. I've never seen fans giving this much love at a concert. Maybe it's because I've not beenor seen many but this performance hits me right in the heart.

You picked the wrong video to watch if you wanted to record a reaction to Lara Fabian singing "Je t'aime". This was not really a video of her singing one of her signature songs. It might have started as such, but it quickly became a video of a loving audience serenading a performer. The audience changed the "je" to "on" for entire song. "Je t'aime" (I love you) became "on t'aime" (we love you). The pianist heard what was happening and changed his pace to match the audience's. Lara got emotional when she realized what was going on. Watch her exhale. She sang a little with them to keep them on pace, treaded lightly so as not to interrupt or overpower them, and so gracefully accepted their serenade. Totally, a class act. The lyrics at the end: "Tu vois on t'aime comme ca/ tu vois je t'aime comme ca" (you see we love you such as this/ you see I love you like this) was so appropriate, so perfect. I would've given anything to have been in the audience that night, to have serenaded along with them. One of my favorite youtube uploads.

Great explanation of what actually happened here. She wasn't late, she heard them and motions to the pianist to hold up. I found a copy of this concert on eBay and you can hear the audience even clearer at the beginning. I adore this whole concert, it's a big love fest. Pas Sans Toi is another amazing moment.

Lara is a world-class singer and performer; very passionate; very emotionally attuned to the song she is singing, but this was something different. This was a very unique and special moment. She could have taken control of the song and the crowd, but she (rightly) allowed her fans to show how much they love and appreciate her. What it must have been like, to be on stage hearing 10,000 of your fans singing, "We love you!" at the top of their lungs, I can only imagine. I have never seen anything like it. A truly humbling and emotional experience, and she gave herself permission to feel it. I am so glad she did. I would wager none of her fans in the audience felt short-changed. I only wish I had been there!

They're not only taking over, it's more then a conversation. By changing the lyrics from 'I love you' to 'ON t'aime - We love you', they just offered here an incredible love declaration (at a very emotional moment in her life). This was a really exceptional moment.

This song is actually a classic in the francophone music world kind of like Whitney's "I will always love you"

The first time I saw this video, it showed just how much her fans love her. There were many songs sung by her that night, so I am sure they were more than happy with the others, and this was one they wanted to pay back to her, for the years she has put into her fans. I posted this one just because of this one being so different. I thought maybe you would record yourself watching it, and then not post the reaction video, but thats good either way. She let her fans have this one. And that look over to her piano player in the beginning, like... Are you kidding me?... awesome.

I was fortunate enough to attend Lara's 'Un regard 9' spectacle in Rouen in 2006. She opened by singing Je t'aime, a cappella, hidden from sight. That beautiful voice coming out of nowhere singing her anthem to unconditional love. It is fitting that her fans reflect it back to her.

I think this performance was just after Lara went through a rather traumatic divorce. This was the audience showing their support for her and telling her that they love her. That is what makes this so touching. It isn't often you see an audience giving so much back when an artist is in need

As the story goes, cards were handed out to the concert goers and this was planned she was unaware of it. I found this a few days ago and must have watched it 100 times, a supremely class act of impeccable talent. I have known about Lara for decades but as time passed, things happen, you go places, and music does the same..... coming back to this somehow tripping over the concert videos has shown me that the human condition isn't forgotten yet.

It's more than singing her song back at her, they are saying ONT T'AIMENT which means, WE love you instead of the I love you (Je T'aime). They have altered the words collectively to tell her they love her. Singing an artist song is special, but changing a song to honor someone you admire is extra special. She can't sing on top of them because they are not singing the song as is. So she had to improvise and sing in response to them. It would have clashed for her to sing Je t'aime on top of ont t'aime. I'm French Canadian, her career started here so I've known of her from the very start, she is brilliant. A humble, talented storyteller like no others.

They're literally singing "we love you" On T'aime, to her. Not as the lyrics are Je T'aime translated "I love you". So, they've more than "taken over", They're giving their love, spontaneously. I pray she remembers that moment forever.

We did that at a concert of my favorite band and they were moved like her. As a fan in this moment this is even more memorable than to hear the performer sing because it won't happen often that the audience has a huge impact on the artists than the other way around. I'll always treasure this moment in my heart and to know that the members of the band will remember this moment as well makes me so happy. They even commented on social media and it made me so emotional!

What makes it special is that it is a love song that is meant to be sung for the audience, but as the audience then sings for her, which then shows a mutual love between them. True love. And that honesty from the audience and Lara touches me. A once in a lifetime experience that we have fortunately been allowed to experience. How must it not have been and be in that concert hall when so many years later we can be as moved as many of us have become, by and watch that video.

Tara, I so agree with you about how hard it is being able to sing or speak, for that matter, when one gets emotional. That was her moment - she gives so much to her audience, they want to return the favor sooooo much... She deserves every bit of it. I don't know more emotionally giving artist than Lara Fabian! It's absolute ecstasy to listen to her.

I have to give a little background by this song *(Lara Fabian - Je t'aime) Lara Fabian was going trough a very difficult time personally & professionally. Because of this, a group of her fans decided to surprise her and sing her own song to her. And the whole stadium chimed in. Can you imagine that maybe 10.000 fans singing your song to lift you up? "Je t'aime" means I love you, but her fans sing to her "on t' aime" and that means we love you. This singing for her by her fantastic fans; made her very emotional towards the end of the song. Absolutely magical and touching to see how this crowd was lifting her spirit up by doing this. Later she said that because of this: she knew that life was worth living further!

Look at the words she said to her fans before she was to begin this song: "I'm living things that, thanks to you, are unbelievable" she did not know what was coming!!!!!!

I appreciate your analysis, especially the ones related to Dimash. One point I want to add to this performance is that the audience does not sing the exact refrain, but instead of singing je t’aime, they were singing on t’aime which means we love you. You are right that an audience singing your song for you is a strong thing, but here, the audience is screaming dozens of times that they love HER. I have never before and never after heard any performance more emotional than this one. I don’t know too much about her life but I think there was at the time also a difficult passage in her private life where the audience was aware about.

The audience changed the phrase "I love you" into "We love you" and was singing that to her.

The most importance thing is “Je t’aime” means “I love you”, that is when her fan speak back to her. This is the moment that a singer have to look for a whole life.

Lara is such a gem just like you everytime I see a new video !💙 Try to react to "Je suis malade", or "You're not from here", they are very good songs from her. It's nice to see a vocal coach who focus not only on technique but also on emotions... a lot of vocal coaches on youtube looks like robots doing reactions ! Also, can I suggest you a young vocalist ? She's called Son Seung Yeon, and she is very well known for her great developed technique and her emotions. You can check out "Lost love" to begin (btw it's in korean)

Saw this about a week ago and hoollly GOOSEBUMPS whew! She is an incredible artist I saw this performance after losing my mind over another performance she did of this song, and someone sent me this link of the audience take over! My takeaway from this was the power of the love of fans, and that live concerts are an experience, anything can happen. To my knowledge this was a rare isolated moment, but soooo beautiful! ❤

Some of her fans approached the piano player and asked him to stop at a precise moment, hance her confusion, so they could sing to her, hance her emotional response... At 1:08 one of her fan says "Ne chante pas Lara!" (don't sing Lara!) which is why she gave the audience the chance to sing to her... That's a myth. Other ones are that her husband died as well as a friend died. The whole concert was a love fest and this was just how much the fans love her. No tragedy involved. "Pas Sans Toi" was also very emotional. Both of these songs had become odes to her fans by then.

Please do a reacrion video to Lara Fabian's version of "Caruso" - a masterful performance, just brilliant.

Thanks Tara for doing another Lara video. There's many Lara concert clips online where she sings live in many different languages. Also if you're interested in just her English clips, mostly look up the stuff from From Lara With Love here, that's where most of the clips have been coming from. It was a big concert put on by Sony a few years back when they really were trying hard to push her as the next big Celine but it never really took off the way they wanted it to and she retreated back to Europe where she's made a killing as a multi-national singing artist.
