there are really good vocalists in the best list. even in kpop, if you look back into the 2nd gen, 1st gen vocalists. she is pretty high up in the kpop vocalists list though. what's better is that her voice is really pretty and attractive, so people get slightly distracted though they're looking for technique. much like lee suhyun (akmu)

Thank you for reacting, Wendy really has a beautiful voice, she's one of the best vocalist in whole kpop industry, and yes she uses her head voice because she had vocal nodules when she debuted and yet she could still pull this through and can reach up to 4 vocal range

You got it exactly right when you talked about her head voice. During her trainee days she got vocal cord nodules due to overworking so the vocal coach recommended that she sings mainly with head voice.

Thank you for your reaction! I love that you noticed Wendy's head voice right away. I'm still not over her head voice in Red Velvet's song called Look. I'm in love with her head voice. I highly recommend Red Velvet. Wendy is the main vocal of the group. John is a vocal beast. His voice reminds me of the the great R&B singers during the Motown/Philly days where men sounded like men and told a woman how he felt and what he wanted with so much love and desire, but not in the blatantly raunchy way. I just love Wendy and John on this!

A lot of the time she uses the head voice, but she can use her chest voice and that lower register that she plays with every now and then blows my mind! Definitely one of the best head voices out there!
