Jelly Roll is FINALLY getting his recognition. He's starting to really blow up. He's a reformed drug dealer. Went to jail. Turned his life around. Jelly raps and sings. "Fall in th fall" you can really see he's got soul! But he really is so humble. Suffers from anxiety, depression, self loathing like the majority of us and he raps alot about that. He's also struggled with his weight and is very open about that. He's also really funny. He's 100% independent!! No record deal and he just put out a country album that's actually getting played on country music stations which almost never happens unless you do have that deal. I'm proud of him. Been following Jelly for years and to see how diverse he is in his music. How all he makes his into making his daughters life better and taking care of his family. He's good people as we say haha

His depression and anxiety is what’s led to his weight issues, his storytelling in his music has helped me and I know many others overcome our own struggles and drug addictions. His song with Struggle Jennings “Glitter” is what truly pushed me to overcome my addiction. Listened to that song damn near on repeat and all his and struggles songs all day for months till I was past that shit. The fact he sings about his past and the fucked up shit he’s done touches you in a personal way and makes you truly feel artists are just people like us, and that helps.

Before I even watch the video I want to say I'm such a huge fan of this dude and his music! He has so much range, not just with his voice but his music style in general. Jelly Roll is so real, and I don't say that about many artists. I remember seeing a tour video, where he described why he is so adamant about seeing fans. He met a woman who lost her kid, and he was also kinda a big dude. She hugged him and said, "I knew you would feel like him". Jelly cries every damn time he talks about it. THAT is the artist you stumbled upon. A real dude.

I've now listened to you analyze the way he sings, someone analyze the actual music itself including the lyric line, and a therapist analyze the words and the feelings being spot on when trying to leave addiction behind. But it all just started with listening to the song and letting it make me feel. Once I do the rounds I feel like I understand the song in entirely different ways, so this was great.

This is the first time I've heard of jelly roll, man he's got a awesome voice. If he was to to a duo with someone it would have to be with rag n bone man or black stone cherry 😁

He sang "simple man" with shinedown at a festival a couple weeks ago. That was something pretty special. They have a behind the scenes section before the actual performance. I highly recommend that.

🙋‍♂️Hello Beth Roars, I will tell you that I constantly watch your videos and your comments are very explanatory. I congratulate you, you do very well ... If you like music in Spanish ... I suggest you listen to Manuel García, it could be the song "Hablar de ti" ... I hope you have a great week .. .. Good luck and greetings from Chile ....🇨🇱

Jellyroll 615 baby. Independent artist no label necessary. If he was under a label ppl would've known him a decade ago. But would he still be the artist he is today? Maybe but prob not. Like my guy said if you are just introduced to his music you been blessed. Check out the song and video "nothing left at all" and go from there. Him and Tom mcdonald all I listen to.
