Btw kpop groups tend to have dedicated vocals, main vocals, main dancers and main rappers, EXO started like that but each year members approved more until main rappers started taking parts as vocals too, Chanyeol a main rapper and he is a very talented vocal, he actually casted as a vocal but SM entertainment made him take on the rapper position for his deep voice and potential

The rappers can sing. Check out exo's new subunit EXO-SC (Sehun and Chanyeol; they are main rappers) react to Closer to you, What A Life, Just Us 2, Roller Coaster. They have good vocals :) Even the vocalists can sing :) and please react to LAY (he is the remaining chinese member based in china and has a solo career) please react to Honey, Sheep and Give Me A Chance. EXO sound better live :)

EXO has the best voices in all of kpop. All the time. Every single member. Im Army, Monbebe and VIP and I have to give credit where its due. Having learned somethings here I can appreciate them even more.

7:04 speaking of versatility; the one on the screen when you said that, Chanyeol, is actually acknowledged by his group members as one of the most talented members of EXO. He, first off, joined EXO not knowing how to dance at all, so he has completely learned how to dance over his career and I’d say he’s now very skilled. He is also a skilled vocalist, despite having the official position of Main Rapper. He’s had vocal training since joining EXO and has an absolutely beautiful baritone voice but can also reach pretty high despite his low voice. Not to mention he is a phenomenal rapper and can play a multitude of instruments. The ones I know of are: Drums, piano, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and bass guitar. He’s an overall very talented person just wanted to point it out sorry I kinda went on a rant😂

If you want to see more Lay, he has a bunch of solo stuff... I recommend Lose Control, Sheep Namanana and Honey

Exo almost tried all the genre we listen to... they don’t hesitate to experiment in trying new, out of their comfort zone and in mixing 2 or more genres together... they truly the artist we all can’t stop ourselves from admiring. And they have their position in the group.. the main rappers are Chanyeol and Sehun. But actually all of them rap and all of them are vocalist !!! It’s a group where a main rapper is also a vocalist and a main vocalist is also a rapper ♥

You asked if they have dedicated rappers and yes, they do, but some of the others can rap if put in a position to do so. For example, Baekhyun will rap when performing as a part of EXO-CBX and there are other members that are capable of this as well. And all the rappers can still sing! All of them are super talented and I love the appreciation for their talent

Actually the rappers in EXO were vocalists and they auditioned to be a vocalist but due to having a deeper tone than the rest of the members they were trained to be rappers. Chanyeol is one of the main rappers in exo but he can also sing very well. He did a cover of ''all of me'' by John Legend and his voice is really beautiful

If you want to hear more from Lay (the one you said you didn't hear much of) with the others, You'd need to look for the Mandarin Chinese versions of EXO's older songs. They debuted as a 12-member group with subunits of EXO-K consisting of Suho, Kai, Sehun, Chanyeol, D.O. and Baekhyun, and EXO-M consisting of Lay, Luhan, Kris, Tao, Xiumin, and Chen. This would be before Kris and Luhan left in 2014 and Tao left in 2015. Lay began a very successful solo career while still part of EXO when tensions between China and Korea prevented him from performing with his EXO brothers. My recommendations are Lose Control (title track of his 1st album) Boss (Sheep 2017) Any song off of Namanana (2018), Honey, Let's Shut Up & Dance w/Jason Derulo and NCT 127 (2019), LIT (2020) Joker (2021), and EXO's Runaway (Don't Fight the Feeling 2021) I'll be honest, I'm not keen on the video you reacted to because, imho, there's a bit of a disregard for the talents of other members. I could watch a professional freak out over my Kings all day.

All of the 3 main vocals of the group (Chen, DO and Baekhyun) have a background in singing. DO entered the company after winning a singing competition and Baekhyun+Chen passed their auditions almost the same time. 6:44 I felt proud and teary when he pointed at Chen and said that he might be his favorite. Me too! He’s my favorite too! Chen is planning to be a vocal trainer. He’s also the owner of a great KZread channel and a soon to be husband and father. EXO is known for good vocalists. Even the main rapper (Chanyeol) and main dancer (Lay) song well.
