When it was discovered that Isabela could grow any type of roses and princess flowers types she was forbidden to experiment with her power and was forced into the princess role. This song is about her breaking the chains.

One cute detail I noticed is that as the song progesses, the "princess": sound fades into a more natural, realistic (?) sound like the rest of the songs. It's kinda hinting at her breaking free of all the expectations forced onto her by the grandma. She even looks to her sister for approval when her dress got yellow pollen on it, and when she nods you see her get back into it lol

All the plants mentioned in this song are native to Colombia and south America: rows, rows of roses, Flor de mayo, jacarandas, figs, vines, Palma de cera, sundew, tabebuia

They actually weren't recording in a studio, because of covid the majority if not all of the movie was recorded by the actors in their homes with direction over zoom! Which really makes the already amazing performance, even more impressive!

The recording comes first, I watched some disney outtakes and I think they're basing the mouth animation to the recordings that they did (?) So that the character can really dub the recorded voice perfectly, they do the animation after, therefore I think the voice actors were imagining the scene (sorry for bad english)

Never apologise for your English skills. ❤ you wrote that perfectly fine anyway, but if English isn't your first language then it's amazing how fluent you are!! I don't know many people who know more than one language and never feel the need to apologise for that. It seems awful that anyone whose first language isn't English ever feels the need to apologise if their English isn't perfect.

the thing that they sometimes do in animation is that they record the voice actor/actress in a video while they're in the booth, to see how they move their mouth while saying the lines and use it as an example for animating the character, when the VA come to the booth to record their lines, the animation is usually not finished

Bro try the tamil movie "beast" song "Arabic kuthu" it cool to hear🔥🔥....

So when the animate they start with, of course the idea of the script, then the storyboard out every single scene how they wanted to flow. So the actors DO have an idea of what's going on in that area not just through the script but through the storyboard process, and through further coaching from the director as to what kind of mood and whatnot they're going for and what visually should be happening. Then they record the song and the animators animate the scene to match the voice and melody and timing of the voice actors. Voila! You have your final project. I'm way oversimplifying that entire thing but that's basically what happens. Lol

Guys we lost another gem yesterday. Buppy Lahiri sir. It's just so sad . One after another. He was a major backbone in industry for years .😔 Rest In Peace 🕊️

For me personally. I'd make an animatic to give a vague, but somewhat clear idea of the visuals. Let the Person with the Voice have at it, and finish the animation with smoother, and on time lip syncing. (I Haven't done this exactly, but that's how I'd imagine I do it.) Animatic is a rough incomplete not smooth animation that shows the idea of where the character is going, and what they are doing. Lip Sync comes later after cleaning up the animatic into an animation. :T Animatic is the simple version of an animation. Sorry, I heard the question. I really wanted to talk about it. XD (Is somewhat an animator that loves animating over music.)
