Sometimes Demi's vocals remind me of a little kid trying to walk a dog that's too big for them. She has a powerful instrument but it could use a lot of refining.

2015 is the most vocally experimental era for demi, it was around this era or 2013/2014 when she got her tonsils removed, that's why hearing her belt out and slaying is very mindblowing, what's mindblowing as well is her improvement over the years, she's got a more connected voice, falsetto is much more solid, and she still has a meaty voice

I don’t think you get Demi’s voice that much no offense but that’s how she sings she pulls chest voice up a lot and yeah I know her technique is kinda bad but she does pull chest voice and I think your referring to her “clearer tone” as her earlier tone but her tone right now is unclear to you? I’m confused and also she was being sassy when she was singing take me to church that’s what she was going for even down to the vowels instead of singing dog she was singing more of a dag she was trying to be sassy and that’s why she was belting but that’s my opinion 🤷‍♂️
