Some of her runs sound country to me. The way she lilts into pitch or note changes makes you lean in and want more. She shocked me with this song. Really shocked me. I immediately thought I would drive to hear her. I would pay to watch her play and sing.

I agree. And country riffs are so underrated because they sneak them in. They don’t just sit there and belt and riff over background vocals. I love it.

I went to her concert in Nashville. Let me tell you I wept as I heard her sing. I have never heard anything like it before in my 23 years of existence. If I had to suffer everything again, just to listen to her voice live. I would tell God I would.

That was some cover of an iconic song. She made it her own and current. Love her voice and her arrangement. Great reaction Tara

Tara, I was actually able to meet Debbii's parents at her concert in Los Angeles over Memorial Day weekend and they were the sweetest, kindest people who were so proud of what Debbiii was accomplishing. It was so overwhelmingly heartening. Debbii so deserves all the success that is currently coming her way. Maybe you could review one of the songs off her new EP.

She would have been a big hit in the early 70s when Folk Music was really big. I was born in the early 60s and grew up during the 70s so I had a chance to listen to a lot of folk music and she seems like she would have been a perfect fit for that era.

Spot on...I loved that she was unique and not the typical singer who does the whole irritating intentional mispronouncing of words like instead of saying "about" they pronounce it "abite" or something. She has a very pretty, angelic voice

Debbie is great because she can sing like an angel and flows like an ocean with little sea creatures playing in the sea foam.

Technically, I really know nothing about music, but all the little touches and how Debbie allows the song to be what it is without the ruffles and flourishes, except for a few touches, is stunning in its perfection and how unassuming its delivery is. If I were a singing teacher my comments would have been verbatim what Tara's were.

It's not that proud that she belong From my country India... It can be anyone from anywhere in the world. Her voice is so precious that it sounds like I am listing Disney movie song. God bless her always and forever ❤

FIrst of all i am very impressed with how well you present yourself. You look lovely, now on the music end of it, I am glad that you explained things in a way that those of us who had some talent to sing many many many years ago catch up so quickly in regard to what voice lessons are like now as compared to then

I LOVE Dawson's version just as much as ABBA's. While theirs is a jubilant celebration, Debbii makes it a haunting rendition of the futility of being popular. That's my take, anyway.

This cover is as much fun to watch as the KZread video entitled "Patricia Janeckova-Dancing Queen (Face Of The Year 2012)" where an innocent 13 year old soprano steals the show from a stage full of beauty queens.

Incredibly cute, modest and mild kid. Her voice is silk! Her runs convey a sense of her own mixed cultures and she picked a song that lyrically depicts a wonderful part of her life that she is living in. Teenage. She checks all the boxes and should be a star. “Ruin” ? Don’t be silly.
