Aranielle Benny wtf Christina is the most influential singer of her generation, influenced Ariana, Demi, Tori, Jojo, Jessi J Christina Grimmie and even Little Mix sang Christina song in Xfactor. Perrie is nowhere near Christina. A lot singers out there can sing with better quality than Perrie, but Christina made an impact so massively with her vocal. She create performances that Perrie wishes she could do.

@@minhvipham8850 hold up, first of all, if u haven't heard perrie's vocals, then I can understand why u r saying that, but if u have then u r very much mistaken. Perrie has strong, powerful vocals with AN AMAZING TECHNIQUE which Christian obviously doesn't have. Christina very often over does her singing vocals and she doesn't have a good technique whatsoever. While Perrie actually has lots of different tones to her voice and a flawless technique. And Perrie would never actually dream of doing any of Christina's performances because honey, her and her bandmates do way better.

I think your videos comparing Christina with other singers are probably always going to have the other singer as the winner because Christina has never seemed to care about using proper technique. And, since this is by far the number one aspect on which you base your analyses, it's quite natural to assume that she is going to lose haha. Love your videos and Perrie is indeed an amazing vocalist. 😍

All that is why her reaction video’s regarding Xtina are pointless. Xtina is a singer who purposely works against technical standards as she takes a more aggressive and raw approach. She’s not a technical vocalist. Never claimed she was. She’s a raw soul singer, inspired by the likes of Etta James. You can teach everyone to have great technique but it takes natural skills, talent and a god given voice to sound like Xtina. And well while there are many that sound like Perrie there is no one that sounds like Xtina which is why she’s so majorly cited as an inspiration and was awarded as “the voice of a generation”!

Franco Biondo I think your comment is not good because xtina is an extraordinary singer because she use a lot of sing techniques for example head voice, chest voice, mix voice,a perfect vibrato and her musically is huge, all that including the vocal potential and the magnitude of her voice and perrie needs to be a bit less nasal in the highs, have more vocal control in the vibratos and increase their vocal power because it's poor if we talk about xtina, it's like comparing a first soprano with a light soprano the power in the voice will never be same So I think you should check your comment

I love Christina's voice, her tone is very unique and so soulful and emotional. But actually if Christina followed a bit of vocal technique like Perrie uses, then she would be able to sing the G5 in "Beautiful" live, instead of skipping that note and other ones or straining live. Christina could be even better (she's already amazing) if she used a bit better technique for at least **some** higher notes.

Most of the clips selected for this video were high notes above D5 If they had selected clips of high notes where Christina is more comfortable live (B4 - D5) Christina would have definitely scored more points. Or her lower range, which is so strong and so soulful. But yeah Perrie has much better technique for her high notes, so in relation to **that** aspect of her voice she sings in a healthier way and that's the reason she won in this case.

Christina May be the voice of a generation, but she’s going to ruin her vocal cords if she keeps singing like she does. Also, fun fact: Perrie’s voice changed drastically after she had her enlarged tonsils removed at age 19. If you sing, you know that having the tonsils removed at such a late age has the possibility of making someone never sing again. Think about that next time you bash Perrie. Perrie is also close to 15 years younger than Christina, so for her voice to be so seasoned is incredible.

She will undoubtedly lose most of these vocal battles when technique is being evaluated, but being a vocalist isn't solely about technique, it transcends that. She wasn't given the title *"Voice of her generation"* for a trivial reason. *P.S.* Incredible reaction, once again; it's always enlightening & entertaining to watch your videos. Wondering the same. And even after 30 years using that (alleged) wrong singing style that according to critics it was supposed to ruin her vocal folds, she never had surgery, or had nodules or smth like that. Singing in that "unhealthy way" she keeps on delivering some really nice vocals (just watch her tour last year). Still better than 90% of today's singers!

I feel like it's just a style choice and she's doing it correctly or she would be mute by now. People love criticizing her for it but the truth is she's better than most other singers out there even to this day and a lot of those haters are just jealous cause their fave could never, strained or not.

It amuses me how people get insulted by simply saying they don't like Christina. "She's a legend!!! You are so dumb!!", I mean, yeah! She IS a legend! But still... She strains so much it hurts MY throat to hear it!!! I get that it's on purpose, but she's gonna ruin herself with that... Either way, just wanted to say that even if you don't like Christina, you shouldn't be shamed for it. So whoever you think won, just chill out and be nice!

Perrie Edwards is so underrated, little mix deserves way more credit because actually all 4 of them are amazing. I feel like fifth harmony became the “famous girl group” just because they were more problematic and their management worked them so hard to keep them relevant leaving little mix out of the spotlight. But they deserve just as much, if not, more recognition. I know this video isn’t about fifth harmony but I couldn’t help but bring them up because I feel like people always compare two although it’s obvious that fifth harmony was more famous, they certainly aren’t more talented and I hate how so many talented people don’t get the credit they deserve.

I'm an Xtina fan and as to technique, she will somehow always lose, but after 20 years in her career (with that wrong technique) she still managed to sing beautifully. Xtina is a soul singer that's why she always tends to show more emotions than correct techniques. Sometimes following a correct technique makes the song boring. That's why i love xtina cause she's unique and a risk taker.

How did I not realise how good perrie was?! Side note: as an adult with a tongue tie, it would make a lot of sense to me if Christina perhaps had one too? This is why I always feel that being a technical vocalist is one thing and being an impactful voice that will be remembered forever is a totally different territory. Christina has once in a lifetime voice. The way she sings is overtly emotional and expressive and totally unforgettable. Although Perry is a good technical vocalist, yet she doesn't have that special soulful tone that Christina has. Explains why Christina's voice has been called exceptional by legends like Whitney, Celine, Etta, etc. I doubt Perry will ever have that status.
