It is my 12 year Olds favourite song and has been for a year and this is why she doesn't know the context and won't for several more years. My sister and I were talking about how it is possible to really love some songs without understanding their context like "Tomorrow Belongs to Me", Cabaret and "Little Bird", Man of La Mancha. Actually come to think of it Christmas Dream from the Odessa File is her favourite Christmas song so maybe it is a her thing.

After sex your brain is flooded with endorphins and adrenaline. The sex is the reason her death was so peaceful.

My theory is that the first time she rode the Cyclone was when she died on it, the reason it is her favorite is cause it helped her realise how good her life actually was, and that she doesn't need more than what she already had

The thing that really hits with this monologue, aside from the whole thing in general, is that Karnak tells the audience just before that Constance's favourite ride was The Cyclone. She died on her favourite ride 😢 On a lighter note, it's a pretty popular theory that the choir had more control over their movement/choreo in Sugar Cloud than in the other songs, because we have moments where they all freestyle with Constance. I won't spoil the potential reasons why in case you want to watch the whole show, but at the beginning he gives them a quick little demo of him controlling their actions with the line "Don't bore us, get to the chorus." It's a fun little way to explain why these dead teens are all suddenly able to dance around in such a stylised way. I love this song so much 😊 Also, I recommend reacting to It's Not A Game/It's Just A Ride. Probably after the rest of the songs might be best, but honestly it's such a good song that I don't think it matters too much. It's the last song of the show though, so the choice is yours ^-^ The symbolism and the story-telling of that song is so good imo. Edit: Oh! Also also, another sad thing, I always get the vibes that when she says "so you suck some more" she's not just talking about sucking on a jawbreaker (or a gobstopper, which is what they're called in England ^^) but she's also just talking about how she feels that _she_ sucks. I've made myself sad again now, aha 😅

I don't know if you'd consider looking at covers of these songs, but can I recommend Annapantsu's cover of The Ballad of Jane Doe? It's so pretty and has a different vibe to the original - the OG sounds melancholy but Anna's sounds almost angry or resentful.

One theory is that she didn’t just die on her favourite ride, but that she suggested they ride the Cyclone. There’s a bit of blame thrown at Ocean at the start by Ricky which might imply she was the one who suggested it, but maybe it was Constance who wanted to and Ocean (otherwise eternal control freak) let her friend pick the next ride. Another awful layer might be that she fooled around with the guy doing the inspections on the coaster, allowing the accident to happen in the first place. (This isn’t substantiated in the text or maybe even likely, but it’s plausible. Someone pointed it out in some theory video or comments section and it’s existed in the back of my head since.)

i think about that a lot! i think it's because throughout everything constance is a bit scared/rattled by jane's presence and now in her song she's trusting her with the mic, letting her get close!

Honestly my favorite part of this song is the recorder because 1. Jane holds the microphone which is so sweet!! And 2. Mischa and Noel who are tipsy during this song dancing in the silliest ways possible

If it wasn’t for Jane Constance would be the one that deserves to be revived the most

honestly, i disagree. constance's whole character arc was about her finally being happy with herself during death. if she was brought back, it would've defeated her character.

nah i think no one shouldve been brought back to life (thats only if jane wasnt there) because noel didnt even like his life that much and he just made up a fantasy in his head, mischa had a crappy life with a dead mom and adoptive parents who dont like him, ricky couldnt even speak or walk by himself so his life really wouldnt have been that good, ocean lived her life better then everyone else, and finally constance, her entire character and song is about how her death helped her realise how good her life was and how she was finally happy after death. if she was brought back to life it would just defeat her character..

I also just realised, the blue-ish purple light turns onto Constance as the music starts, maybe to fool us into thinking it’ll be a sad song, but the lights dramatically switch to warmer, happier tones, reaching their brightest when the confetti falls. Lighting is such a subtle but awesome tool. Edit: not blue, it’s a bit purple, which gives us a hint it’s not all blue and sad ahead of time

I adore that you can see and hear and thus feel Constance gain confidence and energy throughout her song, especially having all her friends surrounding her and supporting her

constance is such an amazing character and i love this song so much (not to mention the alto representation). the ensemble is also amazing in this, little details like noel and mischa head banging together during her recorder solo (nischa❤️) or the way they all take form of a choir at the beginning, or even mischa grabbing the party popper for the confetti (14:05) anyways even tho everyone else is saying to react to “its not a game/it’s just a ride” (which makes me cry every time no joke) i recommend watching the full show now bc there’s lots of little details in that song that will mean a lot more when you know the full story. on another note, congratulations with your babies!! they’re adorable! i know you’ll be a great mom❤️

Ok, so If you want to react to more rtc songs, I would recommend either uranium suite or fall fair suite. They are essentially two different songs for the same thing. Fall fair suite is the old one that used to be used, and uranium suite is the one on the cast recording. They both are the first song they sing together telling the story of their death. I definitely prefer fall fair suite but uranium suite is good too! They are so similar yet so different at the same time!

You still have a few other group songs left to react to. But when your done PLEASE PLEASE watch the production as a whole. It you like the songs already it’s so amazing seeing it all come together with a story line

It's not a game/it's just a ride is the last song in ride the cyclone and the whole thing of it is like the choir trying to comfort each other after everything has happened I'd really recommend that one

You need to listen to “it’s just a ride”. It’s not sad but it makes me cry every single time I listen to it because it really brings the story to a beautiful end.

If you want another (heart-raking) song, then I completely suggest “Incomplete” from a series called “Sanders sides”! It’s a series where a man named Thomas Sanders talks to the different facets of his personality, like his deciet, anxiety, creativity, etc! The same guy does his own songs and covers! Like “Landslide”(a cover) and his own song “Recipe for me” :)

I just realized that Ricky gave Constance the microphone he used in “ space age bachelor man “

This song (just like basically every other character's song did) made me BAWL so hard for kind of a really personal reason: the recorder. In my mind, I associate recorders with childhood, the inherent silliness and innocence of kids. It's pure nostalgia in sound form. And to hear it in a song about realising that you were right to be happy as a child? That's so relatable to me and hits so hard.

saw someone say that the line "i see the gold i see the pink i see the blue" references the cyclone crashing at around sunset

There's a plot theory that I saw and this is the only time/song everyone(the choir group) danced on their own. All the other times they were forced to but not this one. Just a fun interesting theory.

I just notice that most of the song have something to do with their favorite rides, in Sugar Cloud you can tell it’s a carousel. With Ocean how in bumper cars your mean to people by hitting them and she was making fun of the choir. Noel’s was the Ferris Wheel and at the end of his song people are going up and down. Ricky’s was the Graviton which is space his song is about space. Lastly Mischa’s was the shoot range and his first song was about rage. Idk if this is a good thing or I’m just stupid lol

This song is one of my favorites from RTC because it shows the theme of the musical, live being a roller-coaster. Mostly with here sad to happy/sad monologue then a happy up beat song makes you have a lot of emotion! Thank you for reacting to it! :)

I love that you actually only talk over while the video is playing when you actually needs something important to say, you don't talk over endlessly about something irrelevant. And i love how you use texts when you don't wanna talk over while reacting, IT'S THE MOST GENIUS REACTING VIDEO IDEA I've seen( and im not even exaggerating). But be careful with the stickers though like ( 5:40 ). There was this time a few years ago, that i overused stickers and people said I'm "millennial coded" and i thanked them. Till my friend told me it's actually an insult for overusing emoji's, stickers, GIFs, or movie clips/meme ( i'm only in my early '20s ) So that's when i lessen the use of these stuff and they went away, just like that.
