    @fatema alatwani So the crew lied when they said the scene went as scripted? No she was suppose to break during the song to show how upset she was and Kurt would then console her a give her the jacket. That is totally glee lore. For some reason the fans think they have to make an already sad situation and make it worse.

    This is so painful😭 She was so close to Cory and loved him so much like a brother. Naya’s breakdown was scripted for the end of the song, but it was so painful for her and she broke down in the middle 😢. During this hard time on the show, Naya stepped up and became a leader since Lea Michele was hurting. Both Cory and Naya were VERY talented, kind and loved. Their deaths have left a hole in our hearts, but I hope they are happy wherever they might be now😭🕊🕊💙♥️

    yes! Her cover of Mine is incredible! I never thought anyone could cover a Taylor Swift song so well~ People think that covering a Taylor Swift song is easy, but its actually not because Taylor actually wrote those songs from her own experience. So when someone else covers a TS song it almost feels inauthentic, but Naya covered it beautifully and she made me cry

  • @MorganR1814
    @MorganR18143 жыл бұрын

    Though I always thought this was a great cover it is definitely hard to listen to now especially because the lyrics are somewhat reflective of how Naya passed away. On Glee, Santana and Finn were shown as being casual friends but in real life Naya and Cory were really close friends (which is one of the reasons Santana was notably a character that had a big role in "The Quarterback" which is the Finn/Cory tribute episode). Sad to think about while this song happens to be Santana's tribute to Finn, Naya happened to be found on the 7th anniversary of Cory's passing (though she had passed away a few days earlier). "The Quarterback" (Season 5 Episode 3) is the hardest Glee episode to watch because it is so emotional. You can clearly tell the cast wasn't acting but grieving their friend. Much of what was shot for the episode was done in one take because the cast had a hard time shooting the episode. Lea's cover of "Make You Feel My Love" is definitely another cover from the episode that is emotional to watch (Lea had started dating Cory during the filming of Season 3 of Glee so they were dating up until he passed away and they were friends before they started dating). Rest In Peace to Naya and Cory.

    This is a tough one. A beautiful performance, a real reaction to loss and it deserves to be seen and remembered as the beautiful tribute performance that it is. Ironically, as life can so often be, it's as if she were actually singing this to Cory and for herself. The fact that she was found on the exact same day that the world lost him, some things are just the way that the universe chooses to tell us that we are a small part of something so much bigger than us. RIP Naya and Cory, and thank you for reviewing this. The beauty of music is that it can help us feel our feelings even when we don't want to. I didn't want to feel the loss of such talented people that I enjoyed watching week after week. I just wanted to focus on the talent. Here Naya made me feel that loss, and sometimes that's just what your soul needs on its healing journey.

I used to think this scene was perfect, but now i know it's honest. It so truthfully depicts how artists and performers deal with grief and pain. Naya was unapologetically human and that is how I will remember her. I really feel the pain of the Glee cast. They went through a very unique hell that we will never fully understand. The abuse and lack of support they endured is tragic. I hope their stories inspire everyone to treat artists humanely and I hope it inspires artists to live and work truthfully, while still practicing self-care

    Regardless of whether or not it was scripted, can we just talk about the strength it must have taken for the cast to do this? Not only were they mourning a colleague and a friend, but they then had to film an episode saying goodbye. This song was from the heart. Amber, Naya and Lea all sang from the heart. And that must have been so painful. To say goodbye to a true friend. For Naya and Lea especially ... Cory was a very close friend to Naya, and obviously was Lea's partner. I admire them all for this.

    Another performance by Naya that I really love is her version of the song ‘Mine’. It’s my all time favourite song and I would absolutely love it if you could do a reaction to it. The way she put so much emotion into that performance is hypnotising. I highly recommend it!

    This episode, and all of the songs in this episode are singed, beautifully and emotionally. This episode every emotion in it is real. They were not told that they were going to be doing this episode. It was sprung upon them to get the real emotions because it was important I forget the timeline but I think it was maybe a week and a half maybe a week after Cory Monteith death. I find that because they did that you get to see their voices streams, but how they do with the struggle of the emotions coming out at the same time because that’s not easy.

    I miss Naya so much :( My angel. She was an angel in disguise, she's with Cory now, safe and sound. Naya did what any true mother who loved her child would do, she saved her child, knowing she wouldn't have enough energy to save herself :( Coming back to listen to her singing on Glee made me cry, all over again. May Naya and Cory rest in peace, 2 beautiful angels ❤️
