Let's be serious here. I have watched vocal coaches on KZread explain how a whistle note requires less air than a belt. Mori is an incredible singer, but Katrina can whistle as well. Asia's Phoenix and Asia's Vocal Supreme. Both of them are good friends and do not try to compete against each other. Both undisputed as two of the new Vocal Trinity. No need to put others down to prop up your favorite. Its enough to celebrate what your favorite does well. Putting others down reflects on your own poor character. Both artists are amazing and have strengths and flaws. We are blessed to have them both

The two are phenomenal. However, I must say Morissette has this distinct tone that I couldn't understand and seems like you will be captivated by her. Though she didn't have these long notes still she's still superb in singing. She can cover a song as if it's her and make it new. No doubt she's a Phoenix!

Katrina chooses to prioritize very long passages in her singing, Morissette chooses not to. I personally prefer Morissette's way of singing, but that doesn't take anything away from Katrina being supremely talented.

@@kotse9129 Morissette really hasn't been using whistle register with any sort of regularity since 2020, a deliberate decision to focus on other aspects of her singing. I do think it's accurate to say she tends to prioritize using a wide palette of textures and tone colors, though.

Hi Nina, Katrina is one of the best female vocalists in the Phillipines. In my opinion, The main characteristic that seperates Morissette from the other female vocalists is her PERFORMANCE ABILITY. Her power, soul, emotion and sassiness is in her favor. People need to see the whole picture. Not just the singer. No disrespect to anyone, Just my personal opinion, as i have followed Mori since 2017 and she just keeps getting better.

MORISSETTE'S TONE! There is always something about Morissette's tone that makes it different from other singers' tone. It's how she uses her chest whenever she sings which makes her tone very pleasant to the ears. While Kat's voice is somehow close to So Hyang which is very thin but of course Kat's ability is still superb. It's just the tone of Mori and the emotion in her voice that captures me. BOTH ARE TALENTED. NO DOUBT.

I know comment section will be so crazy but as I love these both incredible singers, In terms of vocal acrobatics, clearer riffs & runs, high belts and lung power, It's obviously Katrina While Morissette is great in vocal power, has wider vocal range, and aggressive growls. both have melisma, agility and emotions (its just the people who don't feel a singer when singing, it's up to you) I love them both. if someone out there hate one of these two incredible women, then get a therapist.

Mori is a complete package...Besides, she became popular without using this kind of post . I have seen her post about how she worked hard to reach these polyphonic notes. I think it was her father's post..I even saw her video when she was 12 years practicing whistle note until it became her signature .. Kaya lang nagyon parang she stops whistling..those were the days...

Morissette for me as Regine Velasquez said to Morissette at her first concert, she doesnt have to pass the baton to her as Queen cuz she is already a Queen, RV also said that Morissette is one of the best voice if not the Best voice she has heard in a very long time.
