Why does so much youtube reaction that mistakes jin doing the lower and tell that BTS using backing vocal, i mean they are not doing it on this particular live performance and Jin, that man literally can belt those high high notes

@@vitanandapatrya9092 People associate the boys with ranges (Jimin, higher, JK in the middle and Tae lower, whereas Jin fits where he's needed) so a lot of people don't experience Jin's full capability and where he's best suited, which is that he naturally sits more in the upper octaves with Jimin, i.e. with Blue and Grey and Epiphany.

@@vitanandapatrya9092 I think it has nothing to do with Jin or his singing since they know he sings high but here he was singing while siting back and his microphone hide his mouth so it didn't look like he was singing high not like Jimin who was siting leaning in front if camera and his mic below his mouth, and for the backing vocals they used to hear it when they were dancing so they think they always put it little that they know they sound perfect when not dancing

Jin and Jimin with them super high harmonies and notes while Jungkook and Taehyung with their versatile vocals. The rap-line killed it too ❤️. Jin actually sang the super high harmonies with Jungkook in the chorus, it wasn’t a backing track. Jin can go really high with his vocals ( it’s not a new or surprising thing ) , Jin and Jimin can go extremely high. If you listen closely or have been an ARMY long enough, you’ll be able to tell that Jimin’s super high harmonies and Jin’s super high harmonies are different..

Jimin and Jin sang the very high notes, both beautifully in their different styles and tones! Jimin really wowed me with how he interpreted his lines, adding so much flavor with little alterations and his personal touch !!!

Jimin’s vocals ara insane. I don’t know but when a man has a high pitch voice it’s very appealing!

It was definitely Jin singing the high octave. you should check out his solo performances or other live perf like "Life Goes On" "Come Back Home (cover)" "Blue&Grey" "Answer:Love Myself" "Make it right" to see how Jin can sing high notes/falsetto effortlessly. Honestly, it's sad to see how some people still doubt Jin's amazing ability to hit high notes (when he's naturally known as a tenor) and make quick assumptions that they're using backing track. His vocal skills deserves more appreciation

I totally agree with you. And for me, Jin sings much much better than JM, especially on LIVE. I've already been to two BTS shows and Jm leaves a lot to be desired. They put a lot of effect on his microphone to give it that quality and whoever sings really loses credibility. Unfortunate

Jin sang the high line with Jungkook. Jimin and Jin sang the high line the entire time and JK and V hit high adlibs throughout.

Jin was definitely doing the high line there. I know that Jimin is known for the highs but people have to stop sleeping on Jin. Jin's gorgeous falsettos are a key signature of Bangtan's sound and literally all over their discography. Watch Answer: Love Myself. Or check out Jin's solo Abyss. Jimin recently said Jin's register was so high for a song that it made it difficult for the rest of the vocal line (of course Jin argued back that Jimin's high register made it difficult for him) but the point is, they're both fully capable of (and incredibly good at) executing the higher range melodies or harmonies.

Creo que no es por eso sí no que el micrófono tapa bastante y no deja ver bien a jin moviendo su boca. Claramente jin y jimin hace la misma nota solo que al ser jm tenor ligero se le escucha mucho más alto pero es por su naturaleza vocal. Mientras a Jin le le nota más la fuerza en la voz pero no tan aguda. Jm y Jin son quienes les dejan las notas más altas, hermosas voces 😍.

Sam, the Jungkook and Jin part was Jin on high and Jungkook the low, not a track. The Suga and J Hope Korean parts were added and written by them.

There is something magical when Jin and Jk start to mix together. They all can bounce of each other´s voices, mixing and blending them really well but the two have a particular affinity for each other tones and just melt together like heaven.

RM has a naturally very deep voice. One of the guys talked at one point that he often deliberately will raise his larynx when he speaks to make it sound brighter. So not sure he actually is trying to make it deeper. Jin was definitely doing the octave up. They all sounded amazing as always. 😊

I love this performance and especially I love Jimin’s vocal. Jimin’s voice makes me feel better and heals my soul so much. I imagine I’m in the heaven while I listen Jimin’s voice. Jimin’s vocal is so sweet, so pure like full honey, so beautiful and comfortable. I’m so happy if next time you can react Jimin’s live solo performances. Jimin is masterpieces all time. Jin was actually doing the hight notes/octave ups. He's that talented. It was no backtrack. He has been practicing all sorts of musical techniques for 10 years now!

Jungkook on the lower register & Jin on the high notes. Just similar to what Tae & Jimin are doing. Incredible performance. JK sounds angelic 💕

The parts Jimin and Jin super high notes and V adds high notes among their both that's impressive me. Singing high notes is not a necessity to be good singer, sing the notes in correct key that compliments range and being expressing emotion that makes one of qualities good singer. V's voice are full of character and completely unique.

Since all of you is talking about Jin and Jungkook......all I can say is VMIN singing together is wonderful....I want more😭

I look at it differently... saying that it is a backtrack actually praises Jin´s ability to sound extraordinary great, so great that people have difficulty to believe its live. Take is as an ultimate compliment instead. Jin + Jungkook ( their voices) have such gravitational pull together when they sing in unison it becomes otherworldly and super great:-)

Something must have technically be going on for it to be suspicious!! I know Jin's voice and it's way stronger than what was been sang here.... it's either they were adding effects to it to make it blend that's why. Even Justin burke got confused as it is

At first i thought the same listening to the part with jungkook and jin singing at the same time but i lowered jungkook's voice on my computer and you can hear that jin was singing live and you can hear the difference from when jimin was singing it. I think the problem with this performance was the mixing, the boys did great though!

Yeah I think they lowered Jin’s mic down, which in my opinion, was a little too quite but it was still amazing performance and good mixing.

I'm so glad you're feeling better! 💜 Thanks for the reaction, I hope your fog & other lingering symptoms are relatively short-lived. 🙏🏻 It's definitely Jin singing with JK but what threw me off personally, to my unprofessional ear, is that he sounds like the mix of his mic isn't as much in the foreground as jungkook's. Not sure, but his mic is mixed different when he starts singing behind JHope's rapping and it's definitely obvious, but even more drawn back.🤔 Not sure if I'm making sense and I don't know much about singing or mixing but that's what it sounds like to my ears. Jin's voice can get stunningly high (and low) though, and I'm not sure why some people are continually surprised or forget. 🤔 I'm not personally offended like some here, but it's just unfortunate since he's worked so hard for years...even his first vocal coach mentioned last year that Jin is phenomenal now and he's the only student she'd ever had that didn't just improve, he transformed his vocals entirely.

thats audio engineering, jk mic volume probably was lower, they should have lower the higher register so we can hear jk voice as the lower register more but it wasnt balanced.

Let’s appreciate Kim Taehyung The baritone legend who is singing so beautiful and gets not as much recognizing for his talents as his gorgeous face

Good luck! xD I personally think the audio engineers or how you call people tuning the mics did a bit too good of a job but it's definitely Jin, you can tell on "take" and "break" his pronunciation is quite different from Jimin's.

Hi Sam! I recommend listening to Jin's solo song "Tonight". It's got a lot of head voice and falsetto parts, so you can pick up on his high tone a bit more easily. That was him on the upper harmony with JK at around 6+ mins. As you said, Jin is a bit of a chameleon. Most of the songs you've heard from him I think have high notes in the mix. You haven't had a chance to hear his head voice and falsetto much.. So it must have sounded like someone else rather than him. Alternatively, if you want to do an OT7 song and still catch Jin in the head voice/falsetto, I recommend "Make It Right". That one is distinct.

This song is so beautiful and the lads vocals were amazing on this song and what really made me feel emotional was Jimins high notes as I could really feel what he was singing. This song hold a really deep meaning to my family as this song reminds us especially my dad of his brother who committed suicide a long time ago and this song was played at his funeral so whenever I hear it I cry

They did a great job. I love Jungkook's lower register on this song, especially the parts with Jin. But then JK can go high, low, sideways and crooked. LOL. All in all BTS gave an amazing performance.

I also always feel like Suga has an impish or scamp-like quality to his rap. It’s fun, playful, and naughty, and I just love it! 💜

Jin was actually singing the higher with Jungkook the lower part. Jin did a great job of matching Jimin. Jin can actually sing at a very high range as well it is just that Jimin sings there most often and because of his tone most people associate him with singing the higher parts. Glad you are back. Also just one more note the audio on your video made watching this a little hard for me because when the video of BTS was playing it was much louder than when you were speaking so in order to hear you I had to put the sound up on my computer but then the song was too loud when it was playing so I had to constantly put it up and down...this might not have been as big a problem if I was not watching this at midnight in an old building and not wanting to bother people who are sleeping though :)

Jin was definitely singing the octave above JK he can hit insane high notes like Jimin he's just not as twangy when he does it. But he and jimin were definitely killing it on those highs. I thought it was a backing track too but corrected myself by watching Jin and listening with my headphones.

I need SUGA and Sam to just sit and have a long fanboy session about Jimin's voice 🤣 Also - I would love to see a reaction to TXT 💜💙

Haha, it's so interesting to see that literally every vocal coach who has watched this video can't believe BTS is singing the high parts, they all think its a backing vocal, but pretty much any fan can tell its Jin and Jimin's voice ;) I guess they're just that good.

Awwww. The Howl comment was proof that no matter how much time you spent away, you're still on the same wavelength as ARMYs. Usually Taehyung and Jungkook are compared to Howl (there are whole threads on twitter) but I can see Jimin as Howl as well. Good observation! :)

Great reaction as usual Sam, so glad you are over Covid, something that here in Western Australia we have been fairly spared of unlike the other half of our country. Something to be said in living in one of the most isolated city in the world. Butter has been such a phenomenal hit for BTS when you are up to it a reaction would be great! Also as a huge Jin fan I would love your reaction to Abyss, a beautiful song written by him when he was struggling with depression etc. Writing it helped him to get through his dark times. One vocal coach I watched doing a reaction vid on this and the way he distinguished that there was no backtrack here and that it was Jin doing that higher octave was his vibrato at the end. Lovely. I find it among the vocal line, he is the one who mostly does vibrato when singing. Kinda like Jimin's cry style every time he sings.
