That lump in the throat when you want to speak but you're about to cry. Every chorus is a step closer to letting go and the resolve to love self.

She mentioned in her vlog that she underwent some sort of treatment just to get her voice a little in shape to perform here. She may not be in her 100%, but my goodness, this girl is still unstoppable; she became smarter, made those smart choices of not hitting the risky high notes and just gave it another touch. Morissette is truly one of a kind.

@@Katriinka her voice might have a little hoarse. But, can't denied it, she's still able to control her breathe and given us a stunning performance. She's is very smart of adjusting to improvise the tempo slightly lower to suit her voice condition. Morissette's is a smart Queen!

I believe the series was revived or something. Please react to her orignal "Will You Stay" I think that song is right up your alley. Jazzy, R&B.

Your reaction and comments are on-point. 👍👍 Morissette is indeed a master of dynamics, starting with soft, delicate tones, and then gradually building up until we hear those crazy, fantastic belts. Yes, I agree with you, she restrains her early belts in preparation for "a long and intricate build up" until the "arrival of those belts that are finally freed". I can literally feel my heart pounding as we listen to the progression of the song, and I held my breath in the last stretch until she brought it back down and with that gorgeous smile of relief at the end. 🥰 This song was written by other Filipino songwriters and was originally interpreted by another talented Filipino singer. But when it was made a part of the soundtrack for a TV drama series, Morissette was chosen to do the interpretation, and, for me, she brought the song to a whole new level. I agree with you when you said that this song was very well written and it was meant for her style, those growls and squeaks of hers help her express the emotions embodied in the lyrics of the song, in relation to the plot of the drama series. This is such an amazing performance by Morissette on the Wish Bus, I consider this to be among her bests and the "all-time favorites" like "Akin Ka Na Lang", "Rise Up', "Never Enough" and many others, and it's such a delight watching your reaction to it. this is not a Mori original but Mori sings it so beautiful she made this her song, other Singers have and do sing this but I'm sorry to those who try, this arrangement was a bit different to the live Band Version which has a different ending and all done in ONE TAKE fantastic, what a Story Teller in that Video you could see and fell the emotion, of course it's a Story of parting soft at first in disbelief, then the understanding it's over and she sings the pain of loss, try that Version for yourself it's powerfull.
