It is truly a treat to see the community or reactors both highly trained and general enthusiasts come together and listen to a lot of the songs that I listened to in my formative years. I listened to so much metal as a young man that other music I had access to always felt it was missing something. The sheer amount of people relating all types of metal to classical music also makes me happy as I believe they have the most in common, as compared to most other modern genres. Anyway, thanks for doing what you do! Big fan! Stay nerdy!

yea, which in my undertsanding realy shows how much of an undertandment she has about how our vocal system works. Many many have an intuition and use one certain method as they "discovered" that style. But "imitateing" something from the ground up needs the understandment of what the body is doing and how to maniupulate it. Note: I do not say other singers just happen to be talented, they work hard on their craft, I just wanted to emphasise how well our FairyGodmother must understand the vocal system to imitate it without it sounding immitated

This is KoRn’s masterpiece, in my opinion. It’s got their heavy groove, hip-hip touches, guitar effects, heavy riffs and the wild scatting section which is a WTF moment for everyone. I’m kind of amazed that a song from the late ‘90s is still wowing people today. I was there when it was released, and it grew more and more. I’d hear it at house parties, grad parties and then the radio. KoRn’s music has always been labeled nu metal, which is similar to rap-metal. Back then it was really a thing, and I’ve grown to love it more since that time. Splice all sorts of genres together, why not. And, I have to say this is likely the most detailed analysis of Jonathan Davis’ vocals I’ve ever heard, so a big thumbs up for that.

You are so intelligent, well-spoken, and have such an old soul, I sometimes forget just how young you actually are...so while not being too familiar with Korn, SOAD, Nirvana, Queensryche, etc. may sound odd, it actually makes perfect sense. It is one of my great joys watching my favorite YT personalities discover some of the music that shaped my younger years. One of the things I might suggest is some of the better voices from the hair band era of metal... Steelheart, Bullet Boys, Skid Row, even Whitesnake, all had vocalists that really could have flourished in any genre..yeah, the music is a bit cheesy, but two things you can generally count on with hair metal...a really good guitarist and a great singer...its really how Pantera started, its how Queensryche started, food for thought. All that being said, I would love to hear you break down Otis Redding's voice and I would also love to hear your thoughts on my favorite jazz musician, Thelonious Monk...keep it up, kiddo...you are literally affecting change in people's days...

In 1998 I went on a movie date with a girl who knew someone at a record studio. I live in Los Angeles and it’s not that uncommon to meet someone who knows someone, plus Korn is from California. She had a demo cassette of this album before it was released and played it in her car on the way to the theater. I was absolutely blown away. It nearly ruined the movie as I couldn’t wait to get back into her car to her the other tracks. Then I heard Freak on a Leash and Got the Life. 😳

In my teenage years this was my first song that I've heard from Korn. I was astonished by them, loved them, bought my first casette with this album... Loving it to this day. IDK why, but it always makes my mood better, even if it sounds dark, it has a really positive vibe into it :)

I do believe when you said "he is right there whispering in my ear and I can feel the moistness" was the most amazing and funny things I've heard describing his voice!!😂😂 Nailed it, keep being awesome 👍

My Benz is named Freako, its a coupe with a sweet Alpine upgraded soundsystems, 12" for Korn, Judas Priest, Rush, The Clash, and your reactions 🤪 on YT. Indeed, all those unique sounds Korn is known for make life worth moving along at 100 mph on 55 mph roads.

Oh, we got a Korn fan now eh?! 😄 I was introduced to them at college, late 90’s and this is the tune that grabbed me; I was almost physically moved. I was a jungle/drum and bass person before this, but saw similarities in textures

Lollie is the best reaction analysis KZreadr. Also the most talented, imo, and there are plenty good ones. Funny too. Not to mention how bloody gorgeous she is. I'm mesmerized by her beauty every time. Her bloke better appreciate this goddess.

I love watching you analyze songs so much! Thank you for your utter amazingness from a long time lurker! I find such great music through you as well as watching you react to songs I am very, very familiar with (such as this one). It's great to hear about a well-known song in a new way. And the fact you can actually REPRODUCE what you are talking about is *chef's kiss*

This may be my first time to hear Korn as well but since Elizabeth Zharoff has reacted to them in the past, I probably heard it there. You and Liz and Julia and Beth are the best fiery redheads on KZread! I love all four of you but only Lolli has the Ace of Spades...not Lemmy but the Daphster! Daphne is delightful and so are your amazing reactions. Always amazing, always fun🥰
