VNV to me are the ambassadors of this music, I am a hard core rock fan but omg, VNV are so lush to listen too, thanks to them I have discovered many more...they have opened up my ears!

I'm a die hard metalhead but I had a long standing point where I listened to stuff like this (in addition to a myriad of aggrotech) for years. Sometimes I forget why I don't go out of my way to listen to it more often. It's rather fantastic!

I'm glad I remembered to listen to this band again. It's been a while...

Underrated band!!! They r in their own class of awesomeness.

I just saw vnv nation perform this tonight live. It was beautiful just like the recording. See them live if you can!

Every so often an album appears that is completely ahead of it's time. Empries is one of those albums.

Best Electronic music Ive ever heard.

I need this fucking album.... Goddamn I could listen to VNV Nation all day long. I love the instruments, and I love the lead's voice. Just a simply epic group. Awesome to listen to while playing EVE.

How many people relate to this song as if it were about themselves? This is my favorite of all their tracks. Amazingly moving music. Long overdue since Tangerine Dream. They combine TD's sound with great beat and lyrics.

I agree on this. Saviour(Vox) and Entropy are epic "final battle" songs. Especially if the final boss is some kind of world-crushing evil deity or something.

I actually cried the first time I heard this song. And I came. It was that awesome.

I have a reflex to raise my hands when the track opens.

Only been listening to them for a couple of months, but I'm now totally in love with them! Had a cigarette and a chat with Ronan after the Manchester gig on the 6th. Such a nice man! Not to mention an amazing lyricist!

I always feel protected, therefore, this is why this song resonates with me ❤

This would be one of our favorite songs, we don't care what cultural attitudes exist regarding it or the people who love or hate Dark Angel, we love it. Labeling people, stereotyping, is a typical way to dismiss people if they seem not to be a member of our own cultural groups; we would prefer to be more inclusive. Love everyone...

VNV Nation - "Empires" and Ganymede - "Space and Time" I listen to those albums a lot.

The way I think it is defined in the song, a "dark angel" is someone from the outside looking in (an outcast) on the corruption and greed of society, but is "powerless" to do anything to stop and save anyone from their disorganized, self-destructive lifestyle ("Powerless to clear your mind of what you'd suffered"). I consider myself a Dark Angel because I recently lost someone close to me to the immoral temptations of sex, drugs, etc. that the media encourages, and I couldn't shield her from it.

Who else is here because of Dorian (Of Herbs and Altars) ?? I was born too late to go to clubs playing amazing music like this but damn what a A-grade banger
