Ronan Harris is a beautiful man and he's an extremely emotional individual, so it's not unusual that his music touches your heart. It's amazing at how many people, who aren't into Goth/Industrial/EBM music, but adore VNV Nation. I always play music in my car without thinking about it, but I had too take my mother to the store. She said, "Who's this....???" So, I went to turn off the music and she said "Stop, I love this....!!!" I bought her VNV's music ― I'm now without her for three years, so thank you Ronan for connecting us through your music.

I love the live VNV performances I've seen. Ronan seems so emotional on stage, and it makes the songs seem so much more poignant. As if 'Illusion' wasn't enough of a tear-jerker before..

I've seen them 3 times, twice in a small venue. I cried all 3 times because the emotion in the room was so palpable. I met Ronan and he was so kind. I'm almost 35 and have been listening to them since I was 16. The orchestra makes the songs so much more powerful

Dude is a Poet, Singer, Songwriter, Preacher, Entertainer, & Dancer. Ronan is one of those Artists I always point to when I say 'Inspirational & Progressive'!

VNV Nation's "Illusion" will always be my favorite song of yours, but it's also the most difficult to hear. ❤

was ein Abend im Tanzcafe vor 20 Jahren alles verändert hat, als ich VNV da zum ersten mal hörte und sofort den Dj fragte wer das ist. So viele Lieder dieser Band die mich auch heute noch begleiten und, wie shine, die Tränen fließen lassen. Vielen Dank an Ronan Harris und diese Präsentation mit Orchester und anhand der ganzen Kommentare, die das selbe fühlen "Musik ist der Schlüssel zur Seele" und es immer wieder schön zu sehen (zu lesen) das ich da nicht alleine bin.

Bist du auf keinen Fall alleine mit. Die Musik, die Stimme einfach unglaublich. Es ist so schade das ich die Orchester Version nicht live sehen konnte.

I have seen many days over the year s however none capture me like vnv does. Every concert is different but still familiar as if seeing an old friend. I'm very excited to see them in 2 weeks again!

We survived the pandemic lockdown to have the opportunity to look at this, I remember that night of 2019 where the whole world sang together VNV Nation songs. Meine deutsche ist schlage nur ist kann sagen, eine worte 🤷.the end puts me emotional, when Ronan gave honor to Leipzig simphonyc orchestra.

I watched this entire concert in tears.... This is exquisite perfection. Thank God for Heaven; otherwise, there would be no VNV Nation..... Ronan Harris is a gift from God !!!!!!

I thought VNV live was amazing already, then I saw this video, and swell up again with the emotional and almost Spiritual experience of seeing them live. Just....WOW. Every time I've seen VNV live I'm blown away. Their performance, even on video, is amazing

I was there, pretty far away from the stage because it felt like everyone came to see this act, and we could not get any closer. People around me were hugging, swaying, dancing and singing along. Everyone was so emotional, it was incredible being in that crowd.

Ronan was craying! I love him! ❤️ What a beautiful person and singer, what a beautiful musicians the VNV Nation! ❤️

This is just on a completely another level. The music, the arrangement, the emotion... Pure art in its most beautiful form. VNV Nation is definately one of the greatest music discoveries of my life. Love those guys and their imagination translated into energy and sound.

Ich hatte die Ehre live dabei zu sein. Was wohl kaum jemandem aufgefallen ist, weiter hinten hat ein Pärchen dazu ganz wundervoll und hingebungsvoll getanzt... es waren unvergessliche Minuten voller Tränen und Bewunderung... vielen Dank für dieses unbeschreibliche Erlebnis!

vnv is a great balance between goth-culture and easy listening, also some of the most hype concerts as well as this beautiful piece of history. when you see the cybergoth dressed female singing along, you know this hits everyone who cares about music.

I love all these songs, but I don't think anything can touch this version of "Standing", it's just on another level

Kim, I am also from Florida and I too cried throughout this performance. I am now watching and listening for the fifth time. Hauntingly beautiful. This orchestra ensemble is top notch. Ronan is magnificent!!

Is strange and powerful how an artist like Ronan can have me fall in love, cry and meditate about certain things in life. If I could I would spend the eternity loving and caring on him. But I'm just another one who probably feels like that as well. One lifetime is not enough of VNV.

In 2016 I travelled to NYC from Boston on the train to see VNN at the Playstation theater. The marketing template was the same as Resonance at first and I thought that is what was going to be toured at first, but it was his regular production. I remember looking out over Central Park from the Park Lane Hotel on the 38th floor listening to Resonance - Standing...before my life fell apart.

I cried through most of this.

For those new to VNV Nation and Techno Goth culture: After Sophie Lancaster, a goth girl, was murdered by some thugs, Ronan Harris (VnV Nation frontman) called her parents to express his condolences and he even dedicated this song to her in a concert that took place in the Infest Music Festival. This dedication gave Illusion a lot of fame and it's also known as Sophie Lancaster's Song. That murder changed the Techno Goth culture forever and gave visibility to the everyday discrimination goth folks suffer. Also, the song seems to speak about suicide/discrimination... (VnV's songs can be interpreted in many ways, so maybe others might not see it this way), wich is also a taboo thing till this day. In the non-acoustic concerts, people scream the chorus at the top of their lungs because they identify with it (being rejected for being different). Those who are OG will know whan i'm talking about. In one interview (I don't remember wich it was) he said that he was rejected for being different (he didn't specify the sense) and that his songs are his life experience.

You put it so aptly I have nothing to add... Illusion was the first song I ever listened to from VNV, I think I must've been 16 at the time so mid 2000's, I've been following them ever since. The lyrics and emotion conveyed through the music... Ronan pears into our souls and pens words we'd never dare try to communicate with the outside, our fears, our worries, our hopes. The world is a much brighter fire thanks VnV, may we all be perpetual, never ending lights.

Found VnV from Chrome as a random YT recommendation. Then Illusion from the End Credits of Senua's Sacrifice. Found out they were the same dude. Now, VnV Nation is one of the very few bands that get their own Dedicated Playlist on my Favorites. \m/ _Victory!_ *not Vengeance.*

Its hard to not be emotional listening to this.

VNV Nation + Orchestra is the best thing that could have happened to them, IMO. Very innovative and helped them enter a new era of sound after being around for so long.

NOVA is my personal first song. It must be played at my funeral. And, It's so appropriate in this crazy time.

I became aware of VNV Nation today. A music producer friend who produces synthpop had created a post on Instagram today and under this post there was music from VNV Nation. I was so enthusiastic about the music that I went straight to KZread and came across this concert here. I believe that I am a person who is very spiritual and is also very sensitive and open to a lot. What I read here under the comments and the music to it just made me speechless. I thought until today that I had already experienced everything musically in my life? I thought that I had already experienced everything as a person? But I found that this is not the case in both cases. Just unbelievable a strong band with a very touching story and a fantastic concert! Respekt! Best regards Andy! 😊

Welcome. I'm 51, and I can say from my own experience and that of my elderly parents, that music NEVER ceases to surprise and enchant you, until the day you die. And nor should it. If we ever lose that sense of wonder, we might as well give up and die.

Volks, ich Kati habe kein fb und poste über den Account meines Mannes. Ich war life dabei, es war der Hammer und heute sehe ich es gerade an. Einfach nur geil. Ich finde Ronan echt cool. all crowd around me had no chance to hold their tears back, it was something very very special. I've heard many concerts and VNV several times but this was exceptional, it was my personal highlight the last years and concert-wise ever! It is so overwhelming

I wish they would do the classical performance in L.A. Disney Concert Hall would be an amazing place for it--- great accoustics.
