VMP Odin Level 2 Supercharger Kit || Dyno Baseline and Upgrades

Ойын-сауық

In today's video, our '18 Mustang GT A10 is back and ready to lay down even more power!
After our Loki Level 1 supercharger kit testing, we've now upgraded this '18 GT with our Odin Level 2 configuration. It gets a baseline pull to establish the difference in power between Loki Level 1 and Odin Level 2, then Justin twists on it a touch harder with a pulley swap to show how responsive the Odin Level 2 kit is to simple modifications.
As our "Level 2" supercharger kit, the VMP Odin Level 2 picks up where the Loki Level 1 leaves off and creates a foundation for your big power goals!

    My Odin doesn’t whine at all with the 88mm. Should I hear it?

  • @VMPPerformanceTV

    @VMPPerformanceTV

    10 ай бұрын

    With how efficient our Odin supercharger is thanks to the TVS technology, you may not hear much with the larger street pulleys. Whine is a byproduct of resistance and with various modifications, you reduce resistance to increase power. Things like modified exhaust can reduce whine and even simply be louder than any whine that is present. A lack of whine isn't an indicator of something wrong. On the contrary, it means your blower is super efficient in your combination.

    It's highly dependent on the quality of your fuel. The 3.3 is a newer size that lands just below the 3.4 (88) and gives a touch more headroom. It'd be best to speak with your tuner to make sure all is well before increasing boost.

    Did you use a 3.3 pulley on your pulley swap Justin? I was curious if I could use a 3.3 pulley on my Odin with some Sunoco 105 unleaded fuel in the tank and my existing tune file? and would a smaller pulley require a shorter length belt? • @VMPPerformanceTV

    @VMPPerformanceTV

    7 ай бұрын

    @@freedom6919741 apologies here! Missed it in the notifications. We're running the same tune file in this particular vehicle. With the smaller pulley, it will be more sensitive to fuel quality and that would be something that would need to be monitored and confirmed safe, but wouldn't require a retune. Our initial recommendations of sticking with an 88 mm or 3.4" and eventually us switching to the 3.5" for the kit pulley has everything to do with safety with various fuel qualities. As for a drop in measured boost with headers, it is due to lowered restriction from better exhaust flow, but does not indicate a loss in power. Technically, boost is a measurement of restriction. Adding headers made things flow better, which would result in more power because there's less restriction.
