I’m my experience I recommend seeing a naturopath if you feel like your acne is hormone related. Dermatologist will usually prescribe topicals or oral medication which just masks the problem and doesn’t get to root cause. Try and remember skin does not define you or your beauty, you are stunning the way you are! Sending you lots of love!!🤍

Thanks for being so transparent with your skin issues! I also thought my acne was from "internal" issues but its about using the correct ingredients. Try incorporating a product with benzoyl peroxide and it will clear all your acne.

I also love your long hair. I also have the longest hair in my whole life (about your length) and Im so sad it might happen that I have to cut them because they are not healthy. (blond colored for too long.)

Maggie❤ totally agreeing with your skin chat and I’m on the same journey! I’m finally starting a low dose of spironolactone after trying literally everything else just for a few months to see if it works while I get through the last stressful semester of school and life lol. I’ve fought tooth and nail to not just take a pill but I def get your talk ab self esteem and mine is making my mental health suffer too. Who knows if it’ll work for me but just wanted to say I’m with you and thanks for the updates ❤

Spirnalactone worked for me but accutane helped me the most. Accutane round 1 was to get ride of acne and accutane round 2 was to fade scars. It’s a pain but it works

I just bought the Malin + Goatz lip set. I’m always on the lookout for the best lip products. Rhode IS sticky and the la neige lip is decent. It’s barely there when I wake up! Hoping this does the trick. The reviews are great

You’re absolutely right about the why of your acne. It’s difficult to know how your hormones are going to react and effect your skin. I went through adult acne as well around your age. I would say probiotic daily like seed helps a lot, a clean diet like yours and low stress which is also difficult to control.

I am on the same page in terms of acne and developing acne in ways that are more complex/ difficult to pinpoint. Something that I realized contributed was actually with my usage of supplements. For about three years I was religious about taking collagen. I stopped in the spring of last year and that was when I started breaking out on my cheeks. Once I started taking it again, it helped clear up. Not sure if this helps but thought I’d share!

Maggie I loveeee your overnight oats and all of your nutrition advice!! I am just letting you know that your body doesn’t digest whole flax seeds in your overnight oats. You have to ground them into flax meal so your body actually digests the flax. :)

Or second tip for thé meat is getting them golden on both sides and put them in the oven on slow cooking mode ne check from time to time until They’re tender and cooked through ❤

I know you want to heal things from the inside but in case u need to hear it, sometimes pills are the solution! For example, hormonal acne can be solved (ofc everyone is different) by birth control because it can help regulate your hormones! It seems like u want to go the holistic route but I just thought I’d add that little note because you will likely grow out of your acne as you get older but the birth control could be a quick fix!

Highly recommend you look up Ariel Lorre's experience with removing all skincare except Sea Buckthorn Oil to cleanse and moisturise. It cleared some really gnarly acne of hers right up and my aesthetician swore by it too long before that!

Hey Maggie!!! I loveeeee that you are using medical-grade skin care :) that is def helping with your skin health and making you have very strong skin! I work in a plastic surgery office that has a med spa and for our patients that have acne scarring, we offer them Morpheus8. It is micro-needling with radio frequency and its like micro-needling on steroids because it goes a little bit deeper on the dermal level but it has that radio frequency which tightens as a bonus but it makes cells go into cellular turnover breaking down that takes scarring and anything that is deeper on the dermal level. you should def check it out!!!1

Maggie, you should look into the blue tooth meat thermometers, you just stick them into the meat and set the temp on your phone, when the meats done it will alert you on your phone :)

I think the comments about your skincare came from when u tried Rhode which contains Shea butter and your aesthetician advised against it and you started breaking out right after that

when I stopped drinking milk and tried almond or oat milk, I realized that my acne has disappeared.

Im about to sound disgusting but i dont put any skincare on my Face. At all. Legit water and a tiny bit of moisturizer when applying makeup. I dont think ive ever had a pimple in my life. My boyfriend had bad acne i told him stop using products and his skin looks fake now its so clear. Cleared in like a literal year. Idk if this is horrible but figured id say it lmao
