I absolutely agree no more waiting on doing things you want to try. Went on my first solo trip last month to Washington, D.C. stayed in the Wharf district highly recommend, stayed at the intercontinental- wharf, felt very safe ending up being there for 3 days and it was amazing experience.

I went solo travelling to Sayulita, Mexico. Super small, cute, and safe. Good food, fun excursions (horse ride along the ocean front) and walkable.
