VLOG | Nepali Travel Couple | Chiang Mai Elephant Friends

In this vlog, we share experiences of our interaction with the gentle giants. We chose to stay in Chiang Mai Elephant Friends amongst lots of other options. Our biggest tip would be to book your stay well in advance as it is very popular amongst tourist so can be sold out quickly.
The accommodation is located in the jungle near Mae Wang National Park. The ambience is very relaxed and calming as you will be right in the middle of mother nature.
The sanctuary offers different activities such elephant bathing, elephant wake up call and feeding and bamboo river rafting. As we were only there for a night, we chose elephant wake up call and feeding. We have already taken part in elephant bathing activity on our previous visit to Thailand in 2018.
We enjoyed most of our time playing with the baby elephants and exploring the local area. There is an onsite restaurant that serves authentic northern Thai food which was very delicious and we highly recommend trying " Mookata" for dinner.

There is NOTHING ETHICAL about this place. No ethical place would have people riding the poor elephants under any circumstance. After witnessing the poor elephant bobbing her head (a sign of distress) in her caged concrete enclosure I had to turn it off. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PLACE

This place doesn’t allow riding elephants which is great. It’s a sanctuary for the beautiful giants. I totally support and agree with you 👍

Totally agree! In my opinion the Elephant Nature Park is the only ethical place for elephants (and humans)

@@SS-fi4oo Hi, we only did one night aswell and our itinerary looked pretty much same as what you described. That should be enough. You can always do additional activities after you check out if needed 😊
