Sabrina, I think you should foster for your local animal shelter! If you are unsure about getting a dog, I think fostering a shelter dog would be perfect for you. I think it’s a great way to get your feet wet, have support from the shelter, and if it’s not a good fit, you can always foster a different pup! But I think buying a dog is not the way to go 😭 since it’s such a big commitment. I fostered at my local shelter (North Central shelter) here in LA city and I ended up adopting my pittie Gray 🤍 he was surrendered and was there for 2 years until I scooped him up 🤍 he’s been an amazing dog to me and my husband. I highly recommend fostering first 🤍🤍🤍🤍

Grief is so hard girl. One of my closest friends was killed 2 years ago & it still hits me randomly. Some days you’re on top of the world, some days it hits you & you’re like biihhh why 😭 it can be so frustrating. Something I was told once was, grief shows you how much love you experienced for someone & that’s a beautiful thing ❤

I have a red mini poodle name Maverick. Like you, I craved companionship and wanted something I felt I could really care for. I miss being able to get up and move however I would like. Booking flights and taking trips for however long I’d like. It’s real out here as a dog mom, lol. Love my dog, but sometimes I wish I would have thought a little harder on my decision. No regrets, though. ❤
