    hi Jasper, as I will be travelling to NZ south island in September, wondering how you guys stored your luggage into the campervan? If we have 5 adults and planning to rent a 6-berth campervan, do u think is possible? appreciate your reply. Thanks

    hi Julian, For the model that we rented, they had a pretty huge compartment at the rear where we could store all our luggages. You can see it in my next vlog here - kzread.info/dash/bejne/hmqApJerctWqlbA.html. I would suggest you confirm with the campervan company via email. They are very responsive. Hope you guys have a great trip!

    Hi Jasper, great video! My friends and I are planning a trip to NZ next year. Just would like to know.. How does it feel to drive the motorhome? It's huge! Is it difficult to drive? The biggest car that most of us have driven is 7 seater MPV.

  • @jasperseah

    @jasperseah

    Cynthia Chan hi! Yes it’s huge! But not difficult to drive. Just need to take it slow the first couple of times and after that you’ll be driving it like a pro. Most of our friends have little driving experience back home but are still able to drive the motor home with ease after the first 1-2 days. If you guys have experience with 7 seater mpv, you should be able to adapt to the size even quicker! :)

    Hi Jasper, We are going to New Zealand with wilderness soon. I wonder which insurance package did you get and what do you recommend after your experience there?

  • @jasperseah

    Hi Alfred, we went for the VIP package as it comes with alot of other useful items such as the tables and chairs and guidebook, not to mention the peace of mind in case we get into any accident. We are not exactly very familiar with driving such a big vehicle after all. Would still recommend that.

    hi Jasper some question hope this not too much. 1) did you rental the van from wilderness itself(Christchurch). 2) where and how far is that supermarket from the pick depot? 3) did you when in autumn ?? is it cold during the day :) PS: nice video mate

    Hi! Sure no problem. 1) yep we rented from wilderness directly at Christchurch 2) about 7mins drive away. The staff at Wilderness recommended us to check this one out as they have campervan parking lots 3) I went in late autumn/early winter. During the day it was about 10 degrees.

    Hello, based on your personal experience, do you think is it very hard for a Class 3A license holder to rent a vehicle overseas in general? Also, do you have a rough idea of the price difference between renting a manual and a automatic vehicle?

  • @jasperseah

    @jasperseah

    3 жыл бұрын

    hi! I feel a bigger factor would be your driving experience. If you're a seasoned Class 3A drivier, you'll probably do a better job with the campervan than a Class 3 driver who drives once every year. It does take awhile to get use to the size of the vehicle, so just drive slowly with extra precaution and you'll be fine. Also, I don't recall seeing a manual vehicle option from the company we rented. Best to enquire with the campervan company.

    @@jasperseah Thanks for the reply. A bit irrelevant but have you ever encountered any situation whereby you need to handle a manual vehicle? The reason of asking is because some people say having a Class 3A is kinda "handicapped"

  • @jasperseah

    @jasperseah

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@xallenprzx38 Nope definitely not during my NZ trip. It's only 'handicapped' if you're planning to visit a country with largely manual vehicles.

    Hi Jasper, thanks for your nz vlog.. nice share.. I already watch your nz vlog in summer and winter.. I have 3 question for you ( hope it is not to much ) : 1. which one do you prefer winter or summer ? 2. Which one do you prefer travel with rental car or campervan ? from the budget and efficiency point of view.. 3. why you not choose the north island ? it will really helpful for me if you can explain it.. thanks alot..

  • @jasperseah

    @jasperseah

    4 жыл бұрын

    Hi Halim, thank you and really glad you enjoyed the vlogs! let me try my best to answer you 1. which one do you prefer winter or summer ? - Both our trips during winter and summer were completely different even though we went through the same route. I prefer summer when I was checking out all the fun activities like sightseeing, Nevis Swing, Roys Peak hike etc as the sunlight hours were much longer and temperature was comfortable to pursue all those. That being said, I prefer winter when I wanted to live a campervan life. Winter means close to no sandflies, less crowded so we can get to popular camping spots without worrying that there would not be any space available. So I guess it ultimately boils down to what you intend to do. 2. Which one do you prefer travel with rental car or campervan ? from the budget and efficiency point of view.. - Interestingly, they cost almost the same. Rental car would be cheaper by itself, but you end up paying for accommodations and dining. Campervan is more expensive compared to the cost of a rental car, but it includes your accommodation and we are able to cook our own meals. Add everything up, and budget is about the same. As for efficiency, car would definitely get you to more places in a quicker time. 3. why you not choose the north island ? - We always wanted to check out the north island, but due to the limited number of days we had, we were unable to explore both. We visited the South island a second time during winter because we wanted to experience how its like in a different season and also because our friends were coming along and they wanted to check out the South island first too. Hope my answers were helpful!
