Last weeks our birds are in really good shape, here are some results:
Youngbirds:
22/06, Tienen (126 km), 2.846 pigeons, 22 entered, 14 prize cards:
2-4-20-21-32-37-60-76-81-102-103-109 etc.
(4th Best result on average points, provincial vs + 2,000 members)
13/07, Bierges (144 km), 2001 pigeons, 11 entered, 9 prize cards:
25-59-60-62-77 etc.
(Best result on average points, provincial vs + 2,000 members
03/08, Niergnies (252 km), 1.549 pigeons, 17 entered, 12 prize cards:
4-7-21-28-45-79-150-155 etc
(2nd Best result on average points, provincial vs + 2,000 members)
16/08, NPO Nanteuil (363 km) 1.879 pigeons, 17 entered, 12 prize cards:
4-8-11-24-30-45-47-61-67-130-154-185.
(Best result on average points, provincial vs + 2,000 members)
25/8, Quievrain (209 km), 5.139 pigeons, 14 entered, 14 prize cards:
1-2-3-4-5-7-8-9-10-92-168-206-525-529.
(Best result on average points of the Netherlands in 2019 so far)
The last races with our oldbirds were extremely good as well:
13/07, Reims (312 km), 1.427 pigeons, 9 entered, 7 prize cards:
16-39-44-57 etc.
(6th Best result on average points, provincial vs + 2,000 members
03/08, Vierzon NPO (575 km), 3.345 pigeons, 8 entered, 8 prize cards:
43 (1st club)-45-49-74-76-102 etc.

Preferably average, but we also have bigger pigeons which are good.
Mooie duiven . Wil ook met duiven beginnen heb u nog tips . Ik begin maar met een klein hokje en enkele duiven .

Dag Tjeerd, Ga bij iemand in de buurt die hard vliegt maar niet heel bekend is een aantal (goedkope) late jongen uit zijn beste vliegers halen. Ga die uitwennen en laat dat de start zijn. Duiven van iemand met 'naam' zijn leuk als je ze hebt voor de handel, maar je gaat er niet harder door vliegen. En ik neem aan dat dat de eerste prioriteit heeft. Zorg ervoor dat je geen hok vol onbewezen vastzitters krijgt. Laat de duiven zichzelf zoveel mogelijk eerst bewijzen op de vluchten. Het zal een aantal jaren kosten voordat je een paar koppels hebt die goed gevlogen hebben. Tegenslag moet je ook tegen kunnen in de duivensport, maar de mooie momenten maken alles goed.

If it is no secret, how are performing youngsters of Linus?

Unfortunately I don't have youngbirds of Linus in my team anymore. The ones I had, are gone. I lost a lot of youngbirds, especially from the loft in early spring. Probably due to a attack of a bird of prey which scared the birds which just flew around the loft. We have to deal with Perigrene Falcons here. My uncle still has a few youngbirds from Linus, but he doesn't enter birds on the youngbird races. His youngsters had 3 fall races so far. Last Saterday a son of Linus was his second bird and won 59th vs 5,193 pigeons from Quievrain.

Hello, I checked your last update on your website, where you mentioned that you will start next year with 70% late youngsters which will have no experience at all next season. It would be interesting for me how you will prepare these late youngsters. We made a bad experience last year - we keep 10 late youngsters form our best racing pigeons, there were flying free whole winter and took part in all training flightst before the season - anyway all of them were lost in two first races.
