For all the thrill loving people, the Statue of Unity also gives you the facility to enjoy water sports. There were no river rafting spaces available in Gujarat until a few years ago after the building of the Statue the Chief Minister of Gujrat Shri Vijay Rupani inaugurated the very first river rafting facility in Gujarat.
The place is very easy to locate as it is the central Gujrat. You can find it near the Statue of Unity at Khalwani near the Kevadiya colony. This is a place located near the Sardar Sarovar Dam. The facility of river rafting was developed under the expertise of Uttarakhand. You must check the availability of the facility before you visit there. You can pre-book the excursion on the official website.
The route of the ride is about 5kms and takes almost two hours to cover from Godbole gate to Surya Kund, Khalvani. One boat can carry around 6 people and the price per person is 1000INR.
