Mne kazhet·sya poroyu, chto soldaty S krovavykh ne prishedshiye poley, Ne v zemlyu nashu polegli kogda-to, A prevratilisʹ v belykh zhuravley. Oni do sey pory s vremen tekh dalʹnikh Letyat i podayut nam golosa. Ne potomu lʹ tak chasto i pechalʹno My zamolkayem glyadya v nebesa? Letit, letit po nebu klin ustalyy, Letit v tumane na iskhode dnya. I v tom stroyu yestʹ promezhutok malyy - Bytʹ mozhet eto mesto dlya menya. I agree but I assume that the singer did so intentionally. Whether that was a bold new interpretation or a sacrilege lies in the eye of the beholder.

@@PianoGesang "As I (and copyright, as I know) can thinking, an interpretation ends, when begins new text - if he named it ""Zhuravli" by Yan Frenkel", but not "My variations on Theme of "Zhuravli"" he must care about autor`s text. Isn`t it?"
