Tip for the push lock fitting slap a clamp around them i run push lock for my fuel system with. Small hose clamp around every fitting n never had one blow of same as my trans cooler

My Dad..RIP, Had a silver VL Calais. The car was in perfect condition..he even had it re-painted once. When he died, the car died with him. Engine blew up as soon as I turned the key a few weeks after he died.

You need to.put the clamps that clips on the push on fittings Aeroflow sell the aero clamps for 400 series Or any hydraulic place carried them as they use them on that style hose..that's your problem..

The fittings were done when we got the car. Needed to be changed but were forgotten

The RB series Nissan engine seems to be indestructible because the RB30DE (non turbo) engine which I built for my 1986 model VL Commodore Executive got a hiding from me & it kept going for 200,000 kilometres until I parked the car which needs some serious rust removal now. The SOHC engine did 300,000 kilometres & I ran the RB25DE pistons & new rings in the Virgin cylinder bores & slapped the DOHC cylinder head onto the RB30 bottom end which engine block has done a total of 500,000 kilometres !

I guess they are supposed to be neat but they blow off all the time. A hose clamp over the top keeps them together which yeah sounds silly but it works
