Over time, they established a close-knit community in Chandampet Mandal, nestled within the picturesque Nalgonda district, and named their settlement as Vizag Colony. Today, this thriving village is home to over 700 residents who have forged deep connections and created a haven for themselves. Surrounded by majestic hills and fertile irrigation lands, Vizag Colony is blessed with the serene presence of the Nagarjuna Sagar reservoir on one side and the tranquil backwaters on the other, giving a beautiful atmosphere to this unique place.

After reaching the Vizag Colony one can embark on an adventurous journey to Yelleswaragattu Island which is 20 minutes from the colony. If you’re travelling by own vehicle from Hyderabad to Vizag Colony the vehicle should be parked at the allocated parking area and then one has to take a boat ride to reach the Island.

If you want to stay overnight and camp on the island the cost of a boat ride is INR 1500/- and a skilled fisherman will assist you in reaching the peak of the island.
