Many people misunderstand starlights when we say VIXX are the "concept kings" they're like "they don't try that many concepts neither they have storyline MVs". Excuse you, being this consistent in a sexy concept while bring something new to the table every. single. damn. time. is an accomplishment. Plus, they HAVE so many concepts and their albums, MVs even their stages(more like musicals lmao) all go with it. Most of the time it happens a group has a concept for their MV track and the rest of the album is somewhere else ALTOGETHER, which is NOT the case with our VIXX.

There's a reason why vixx and shinee are my ult groups, they've done so much for kpop and I can honestly say they are more than idols, they are real artists. They set the bar so high almost no one can reach it, proud to be their fan!

Shangri-La was a whole revolution I feel like they paved the way for modernized hanboks Before them, only traditional hanboks were worn and those are not really practical for stage performances

I dont know someone else mentioned this already but the fact that their most iconic concepts were suggested by the members.. (On and on by hyuk, chained up by ravi, and shangrila by hongbin) it shows how creative the members were and how much they invloved in developing concepts. Many ppl in korea dont consider idols as artists, thinking that all they do is following instructions set up by companies. Not that i agree with this opinion, but i have to admit i m very proud of vixx members to have dedicated their creativity so much from de eloping concepts to polishing performances

I think also hongbin helped gamer idol concept get accepted among kpop industry. I remember him talking about being acknowledged and congratulated as a good gamer was weird since people usually criticise idols gaming. But now we even have shows about gaming. He is one of the most successful idol gamers and he is the person every idol look for during games 😂

I just respect them so much for not trying what's trendy and not copying themselves. No vixx comeback is same and no vixx comeback is clique. Every song they made are pushing kpop limits in a different way plus both group and solo songs are (especially ravi solos) are priceless gems and all are different. Also they're doing what's known as a no no in kpop, people say eye contacts look stupid and vixx slay with their creepy eyes, people say dark groups can't be cute and vixx come with love equation, people say idol rappers can't be real rapper and ravi proves he can be anything he wants. No groups can do like vixx

I hope that we'll one day see them all together again 😭

VIXX's concert is the whole reason why I wanna go to S.Korea to experience the theatrical concert live, with my own eyes😭😭

It hurts me when the kpop stans say they don't know anything about vixx like excuse meeee they are the ones who started so many of the trends you see in the groups you stan

So proud to be a Starlight, having the idols with Voice, Visual, Value in Excelsis is so damn true!

They definitely deserve the whole world. They are the actual trendsetters for a lot of things and people should appreciate them more and more.

Just as a commentary on Love Equation, that song did really well on music shows because it was a remake of a very popular older song, so it appealed not only to modern K-pop fans of the time but also was marketed towards regular people/older people whom really enjoyed VIXX's version of the song.

VIXX really was, and still is, a one of a kind group. I don't think any group that are present this day can beat VIXX when it comes to concepts. Concept Kings of Kpop really wasn't an exaggeration, they were one of the most innovative group afterall. I'm gonna need new music soon thou please :')

They are and forever will be THE MOMENT!! No one can do it like them, they are iconic, legendary, absolute trendsetters.. I'M SO PROUD TO CALL MYSELF A STARLIGHT

1:05 that's actually tricky. Some may say it's ToppDogg. Some may say Vixx. But to be sure, toppdogg is an unpopular group. Not many fans knew they did that. Does anyone even know them here? I don't remember them specifically wearing hanbok for stages. Maybe incorporated small details. But it was definitely in the mv. But did they stylize hanboks? Pretty sure they wore it very traditional in the mv. But some materials that are traditionally traditional were used in their modern clothes. What we can say, after Vixx did it, traditional x modern became far more popular. It's a trick question that can be debatable. Vixx was noteable for doing that. And there were very little people who knew toppdogg. (But toppdogg was popular in my communication circle.) So. Who can we call first? And I'm not hating on Vixx. It's just an interesting take. I just don't want to discredit anyone.

Toppdogg didn't wear it in the music shows. There were many idols who wore hanboks in special performances on chuseok, but it didnt become a trend until vixx went viral for that mbc gayo performance. Vixx definitely popularised it. And when i meant they were the first ones to wear it as costumes, i meant on music shows, not just mv
